I took my girlfriend to Italy for the first time for Valentines day and we wasn't disappointed with the hotel nor the location. Set in the beautiful tuscany countryside it just felt very private, relaxed atmosphere and romantic ;D. Highly recommended!! Tip, make sure you hire a car as it is a drive to Pisa, Firenze or other towns.

Our family stayed in the Tinaia for a week in July. Each of the 5 rooms has en-suite and separate patio/entrance, although we only used the front patio area for evening meals. The communal kitchen is spacious and contains a much needed dishwasher! We brought our silver cross Kensington pram with us by easy jet, which was perfect for our 10 month old grandson. He slept in it during the day and we took him for lovely walks along the river (with sun canopy). At meal times he was so happy to sit in the pram at table level eating with us.

We had dinner on the first and last night at the Borgo restaurant , The food is excellent and you have to book because it is very popular. The staff are freindly and helpful.

We hired two cars (you do need a car here) and again, we booked in advance on the advice of Delia. Delia also arranged airport transport, which went very smoothly.

Our freinds booked two rooms in the Bed and Breakfast which is really luxurious and very tastefully furnished. Francesca was very freindly and helpful.

There are two swimming pools and a swing park for children.

The Masi Family held a Bar be que on the Monday after arrival, and it was free, which is a nice touch. Good organic food and good local wine. They had a folk singer for the evening and we all sat around a log fire. It was a lovely evening.

We visited San Giminiano, Montaione, Volterra and Sienna. Some of us were just happy to stay around the Farm.

We had a wonderful family holiday under the Tuscan Sun and the Masi family are very welcoming and freindly. We have already recommended to freinds.

We spend a week at villa tinaia, wonderful house of five large rooms with en-suite bath to each, and nice dining room for all, fully equipped, nice pools and very helpful staff, including the lovely owner, Lucianna Massi, who also owns the starred restaurant, at the compound. The location is perfect for exploring the area. I guess that a spa or a gym would have made our trip even better and wi-fi is only in one location. Please note that there is no cellular reception in the area.

Room Tip: Some of the villas are located a bit far from swimming pool, if it makes any difference. There is a...

We went here several times and always enjoyed it. Great pool area with beautiful surrounding gardens, supurb restaurant, great B&B with excellent breakfast! The Masi family and their staff are extremely friendly and speak loads of languages.
In summer the place to be for family with kids. In spring and autumn a relaxing place to discover Toscany.

Very child friendly place. Masses of space, lots of activites possible: 2 pools, volleyball, football, playground, tennis. The only thing that is missing is table tennis! The restaurant Casa Masi is lovely: food is excellent (menu does not change very often?), location outside and inside are really nice, excellent wine, special menu for kids. When we were there was a BBQ every week which was a highlight for all the guests: wine, salads, salami, fantastic bread, open log fire, life music. It is a family run place and the atmosphere is exellent. The place is well maintained and it is clear that renovations are constantly been made. The B&B looks very pretty indeed.

Room Tip: Even the smaller appartements are spacious and suitable for 4 people. The staff are out to please an...

Everything is likein the movie excepted that week ( 1st week of sept - the sun was not always present but there is nothing that the Masi family could do about it) . Our friend firmly recommended us ( and all her friends) Borgo san benedetto and we spent a week with another couple of our friends. We had the SB10 at the Villa Ripanuova. 2 bedrooms ( beds very comfortable) with 2 separate bathrooms - a large room including kitchen and salon . Everything is furnished and we could easely cooked some excellent meal during our week . We also had a private area which we could use for dinner/drinks...Unfortunately, because of the temperature and also because of our schedule, we didnt used all the facilities of the Borgo- there are 2 pools, a tennis court - big area for kids. We got as a complimentary gift - spaghetti pasta, a bottle of red wine and frizzante water- nice touch from the Masi family. You could also ordered breakfast and it will be delivered to your villa. The borgo is very well located- you can easely do the star or the triangle to Florence( 1h) - Sienna( 1h30) - San Gimignano ( 30min) and even went to La Spezia and the Bolgheri area within 2 hours . The town of Montaione is located at 10 min from the house and you could find Coop and am supermarkets, butcher, pastrie shop, restaurant etc... Talking about restaurant, Casa Masi is on the site of Borgo and the owner Luciana is a very nice person - very generous . Be aware that the portion are bigger than we are used to.. My husband and I shared biftecca a la florentina and with 1 kilo of meat - we could easely share it with our friends- It was delicious and too much . There is a good wine list and the price are reasonable- We went a second night and had pasta and they were OK . Wifi is available and free at the bed and breakfast house . We spent two weeks in Italy and I can easely say that my best week is in Tuscany and for sure Borgo San Benedetto is part of the success of this week . Do not hesitate to stay there - it is a must !!!
