This experience was simply fantastic. A New Zealand host with an Italian wife and in-laws, Australians on tour for 8 weeks and an American family and us, South Africans. What a day, what hosts and what company! Everything you read about this day is true, but much more. Having a freshly "hunted" truffle on your breakfast, complimented by locally made cheese and local bubbly in a setting from where you can see forever. That was followed by a lesson in pasta making from scratch( with wine), a visit to the cheese room(with wine) and then the highlight, a sit down lunch under a shady tree(with wine) . How does a 4 course meal consisting of home cooked Umbrian specialties sound?Well, it tasted divine and the day ended far too soon. This was simply a great experience!
