Hotel Villa Pambuffetti
Ranked #4 of 8 Hotels in Montefalco
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 30 October 2012

We stayed at Villa Pambufetti for 2 weeks and enjoyed every minute. The hotel itself is beautiful and very comfortable. It is an excellent base for exploring the area.
We were fortunate to be given an upgrade to a lovely room - very spacious with fabulous views over the valley towards Assisi, furnished with antique furniture and with a lovely marble bathroom. It absolutely made the holiday.
We ate in the hotel restaurant several times and the food was excellent if a bit more expensive than other local restaurants.
The staff were pleasant and helpful.
It was lovely to be able to walk into Montefalco in the evenings for a drink or to eat. Yet to stay in peaceful surroundings.

Room Tip: Some rooms have fabulous panoramic views - we stayed in No. 7.

Just returned from a trip to Itlay that included 2 nights at the Villa Pambuffetti. It is an absolutely beautiful place and we would highly recommend it. The grounds are particularly beautiful and well maintained. It really is a 5 minute walk into Montefalco which is a lovely little town.

The food was very good and Mauro was so attentive and helpful! Overall, wonderful place with beautiful surroundings and views.

Room Tip: Note: There is no lift in this hotel. Our room was the very top room in the hotel with 59 stairs t...

My husband and I stayed at the Villa Pambuffetti last November and really loved the property, the owners, and the staff. We were treated like family, given suggestions for local restaurants and shopping, and accommodated with excellent food and very good local wine. I would love to go back! The town is well located to other attractions and is very characteristic in its own right.

The villa , the view , the gardens, and the owners, Alexandra and her husband, where wonderful.
The service was perfect and very friendly.
Breakfast outside in the garden was very romantic.
We had daily tours to Norcia & Castellucio, Perugia & Lago Trasimeno, Spoleto & Gubbio..
The villa is close to Assisi and Orvieto and many other places.

Room Tip: we got the last room in the corridor and top of the stairs it was the best! we had every morning and...

We booked a week here through Citalia and were not disappointed. Peaceful tranquil location a few minutes from the town if you feel the need to try somewhere else to eat but we found the hospitality of Mauro and family so good and the food/wine excellent, we spent most of our evenings here. My husband is a chef and we expect good food, efficient and friendly service and Pambufetti ticked all the boxes. It was extremely hot when we were there and it was a pleasure to eat outside on the terrace. Rooms are pleasant and tastefully decorated. Lovely pool with shady areas, a very relaxing atmosphere which is exactly what we needed. Mauro arranged a visit to a small local vineyard for us and again here we had a warm welcome from the family.
We were sad to move on for our second week and will definitely return to Umbria, it is beautiful.

Villa is just outside the walls of the charming Umbrian hill town of Montefalco. Booked our three night, four day stay through luxurylink.com. With flexible dates you can get an additional discount. Our package included, daily complete breakfast, one night gourmet dinner for two and a half day cooking school for two with Anna. The grounds are excellent and the staff service very friendly. Very good location for day visits to other hill towns of Bevagna, Spello, and Assisi. Of the hill towns, we enjoyed Montefalco the most and visited the town square, at the top of the hill, each evening. Alessandra and her husband are very friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Pambuffetti.

Located outside the walls of Montefalco, the villa is surrounded by its own manicured lawns and gardens. We booked our stay through luxurylink.com. The three four night package included a half day cooking class with Anna, dinner one night at the villa's restaurant and daily breakfast. We were given the "loft" room which was reached by a series of stairs but offered 360 degree views of the property and surrounding countryside. Although Montefalco has a number of dining options, we dined every night at the villa because the food was outstanding and the service was top notch. We had the same waiter each night. Anna gives a wonderful cooking class in which made several different pastas, a simple pizza, delicious chicken cacciatore , all of which was sampled with a locally produced umbrian white wine. In addition to exploring Montefalco, we enjoyed day trips to Gubbio and Spoleto. If you like fine cashmere, there is Cruciani outlet nearby. The rest of our trip included 2 nights in Rimini at the Hotel des Londres. Since we were visiting in october, the Rimini beaches and hotels were uncrowded. From Rimini, we took a day trip to Ravenna to see the mosaics. The trip ended with 3 nights in our favorite city, Rome at the wonderful Hotel Adriano.
