“A Lovely Find”
Reviewed 24 July 2012

We loved that Camiano Piccolo is family run - two generations are on hand at all times, and you feel like they have welcomed you to their home. The rooms are welcoming and warm, the views are magnificent, and the pool was a wonderful to cool down on a warm summer day.
It is walking distance from Montefalco which is a charming walled city with small shops and wonderful restaurants.
A pleasant surprise was the wonderful food at Camiano Piccolo, an amazing breakfast outside under the treees overlooking a valley. And dinner, delicious, served there as well.
We will return for the warm hospitality and great location.

We (a couple in their 60s) were there off-seasone, late March, and only stayed there for a single night on our way to and from other places in Toscana and Umbria. We had changed some plans and needed a single day on the way to Gubbio. Got everything done online the evening before. When we got there at noon we could get into our room (someone was waiting for us to let us in), and then hike up to Montefalco for wandering and a great lunch (Il Falisco), then wobble down for an afternoon nap, then a great dinner, and then just listen to the silence.... Nice conversations (also with a single guest who came for dinner - we were the only ones overnighting). As far as I understood the place has been owned by the same family for 500 years. The buildings were maintained beautifully, and modernized inside with all due respect for where they are located. BTW the Sagrantino they sell in the office is amazing.

we ( a small tour group) spent a week here in october, visiting hill top villages in the area, and everyone enjoyed this farmstay. It was a lovely place to come back to at the end of a tiring day. The units are comfortable and pleasant but I found my bed hard. Each room has an outdoor setting and with the gorgeous views it was a very pleasant environment to enjoy a drink. There is also a large area set up for people to gather together. we had almost 4 weeks in Italy, and I can say that the evening meal here was the best I had - just superb. Breakfast was also very good.. Montefalco is a gorgeous walled medieval village set part way up a small mountain and is a steep walk uphill from the farmstay. I loved this place

Room Tip: The rooms down near the pool were good if you like privacy

My daughter and I spent the first week of October at Camiano Piccolo. This is the perfect time of year for cool evenings and warm days., Owned by Father and Son both very attentive and friendly as well as the staff. The food was excellent, the breakfast very complete and the view from the restaurant beautiful. Tables and chairs were provided outside if you wanted to enjoy your coffee or glass of wine overlooking the valley below. The room we occupied was very large, had a stand up shower-very large, a kitchen with refrigerator. The weather was pleasant enough to not need air conditioning. Very convenient to the town Montefalco, within walking distance where you find other restaurants, wine bars and shops. We enjoyed our stay here very much and definitely would return.

Camiano Piccolo is a beautifully restored 'Borgho' (an small, old hamlet) surrounded by olive trees and with a wide view on the Umbrian valley and the cities of Trevi and Spoleto. It's around 400 meters by foot from the wine city Montefalco. Everything about this agriturismo was just fine: the friendly, smiling staff and family atmosphere, the clean and airconditioned rooms, the continental breakfast and the swimming pool (maybe sometimes a little bit crowdy because of some local youth come and swim here).

We staid in the green room with togother with two other rooms is situated in a new building.
The room is very spacious, with a large bathroom (shower, bidet, toilet and lavabo) color tv, desk, chair, chair, fridge and wardrobe.
The room has a stone floor, wifi (not always functioning perfect), a terrace (which for the green room has total privacy and looks upon the vegetables garden.
There is a swimming pool (not garded) with sufficient deck chairs and parasols.
The view from the outside restaurant is very beautiful and is used also for breakfast. The breakfast is very complete (orange or grapefruit juice, coffee, hot milk, toasts, different kind of bread, croissants, cheese, ham, marmelade, chocolate, thee, eggs and fruit).
When the weather is not beautiful, you can eat in the cosy restaurant.
The people are very friendly and helpful.
The food was good and the daily suggestions are good and correctly priced. The montefalco wine is very good and also correctly priced.
