having reviewed this hotel before and visited again since an updated review is called for,
well to all those who write bad reviews i just hope you are happy sometimes because for the money you pay on average sub £800 a fortnight half board you must expect 5 star , most people i speak to when at the hotel are either repeat visitors or will go back again ,the older maltese receptionist Sandra who people slag off so much (she happens to have become a personal friend) is great she just doesn't appreciate people being rude to her an so she shouldn't have to, the restaurant manager Raymond is also great again as long as you are not rude to him , the rooms are cleaned every day with fresh towels everyday my tip is to get a room on the first floor over the bar or restaurant overlooking the pool they have massive balcony's ,personally i find the bar overpriced (3 euros for a lager) ,when literally 50 yrds over the road (down the side of jesters is spaghetti junction a fantasic english pub run by Yvonne and Tony where you can get any canned or bottled beer for less than 2 euros a pint , one place on the island definatly worth a visit is marsacala a very pretty and untouristy fishing village for which untill july at least you catch the no 17,19 or 20 bus from valetta , because unfortunatly after july malta,s famous yellow and white bus system changes to arriva with modern blue buses locals think this is a good thing i am not so sure i like the old bone shaker buses

Judging by previous reviews, some people have had quite a poor experience at this hotel. We had quite the opposite experience. Our room (along with every part of the hotel we saw) was clean and tidy and had everything we needed, including a rather old but functional aircon as well as a ceiling fan. The room was cleaned and we were given new towels every day. All the staff were friendly and helpful at all times. I can't comment on the restaurant as we didn't use it.

It's also very well placed for St Paul's Bay and the town of Bugibba, and there's a bus stop on the nearby main road from which you can get all around the island.

So sorry to those who didn't enjoy this hotel, but I have to say that we found it to be a perfectly good hotel with which we didn't find a significant flaw in the week we stayed there.

If you are going to Malta, DO NOT stay at this hotel near Bugibba, Malta. When we saw our room, we wanted to fly back to England. It was dirty, smelly, the sheets had not been changed and there was blood on them, the plug in the shower was blocked with hair, everything you touched was dirty and the curtains were falling off the rails. Furniture was basic, and I mean basic, there was no comfort whatsoever in the room.Decoration was very poor and the outlook was a run down empty hotel one side and a building site at the back. It is claimed to be a 3 star hotel, but we were told by the holiday rep, that it was a poor 2 star. Food was awful and the staff had a 'don't care' attitude. As you can gather by this review, I hated it. Go there if you wish at your peril!!

Room Tip: A Fast exit.

Good English speaking staff, all quite pleasant and helpful. This is an advertised 3 star hotel and i believe it exceeds those standards in some areas. The indoor and outdoor pools are terrific. The rooms were cleaned and fresh. The entertainment was very good , with various singers for the evening , actually quite good. I recommend this hotel
