“Friendly, comfortable good value”
Reviewed 31 March 2011

The staff were very helpful friendly and efficient. We had a suite which was clean well equipped - huge bathroom and comfortable bed. Excellent value - 3 course sunday lunch (UK style) 10 euros!
Location may be noisy in the summer but out of season quiet and conveient for shops, reaturants etc.

Room Tip: Don't forget to go to the roof garden.

Felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The front desk staff was among the most kind, personable, and helpful I've experienced in my international travels. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with fashionable dishes, drapes, and cushions. In all fairness, while the bathroom was clean, it was a little bit strange in that a fan ran constantly and the room constantly smelled faintly of sewage, from an interior window that allowed access to pipes and wiring. In the morning, we were aware of the sounds of people in adjacent rooms. These were very minor issues in a hotel where I would gladly stay again without hesitation.

As for other aspects of the hotel...The bar was great fun on our last night; kudos to the wonderful bartender. Tried the restaurant for English breakfast, which was very filling. Hotel in close proximity to good restaurants (try the Maltese restaurant to the left on the street facing the sea, and the Chinese place on the same street, NOT the Great Wall across from the hotel). One block from public bus that costs .47 to take to Valletta, about 30 minutes away along a lovely stretch of urban and rural areas of the island. I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel well run, Room clean, Staff like a big family, Very helpful,
The food in the hotel was some of the best we had in Malta.
For a small family run hotel I would give it top marks, you could do a lot worse!!
Very convenient for Bus service ,Shops, Restaurants,

We will be back. Paul & Michelle (Ireland)

Having decided on Malta as our Wedding destination my wife & I had the pleasure of staying in the Park Lane 3 times over 18 months. We were so pleased with the close attention to detail and level of service by each staff member, that we had no hesitation in recommending the Park Lane to our family & friends who came over for our wedding in September 2010. As a result we had 20 adults and 5 children (ages 1 - 9) who stayed in the Park Lane for our wedding. All rooms were spotlessly cleaned daily and everyone's expectations were met with the size of the rooms, the views and the in-room facilities.
As usual the staff (Andrea, Daniela & Claudine) were great with our guests and their kids, nothing was too much trouble. On one of nights we took over the entire restaurant where Claudine and her staff provided a 5 course meal for everyone which was of very high quality (including personalised menus & table decorations) and went off without a glitch. The staff also arranged transport for all our guests from the hotel to the wedding venue, as well as transport to & from the airport & to various tourist spots.
Given the size of this hotel and the number of staff, the Park Lane punches well above its weight. Added to this, it is perfect location for exploring the rest of the island and nearby Buggiba, with the Buggiba bus terminal and ample free car parking near the hotel.
I would highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely be back to stay in the future!

Broadly speaking, there are two types of hotel in Malta. The large hotel with buffet food, entertainment in the evenings and lots of contact with fellow holidaymakers. Or.... the smaller family run hotel where your meals are cooked to order, where the staff know you by name and line up to kiss you goodbye and where you can just be yourself if that's what you want. The Park Lane Aparthotel is one of the latter. Spotlessly clean and located on a narrow, quietish road between a handy car park and the Qawra bus station. The rooms range from large to enormous, each with a kitchenette. Ours had a balcony with two easy chairs. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff here. There's a lift, flat screen TV with satellite channels, a small bar open in the evening and a restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner. We were on a b & b basis which we would recommend as there are lots of restaurants nearby, although mostly of "tourist" quality. The hotel is a few minutes walk to St. Paul's Bay and the buses give easy access to Sliema, Valletta, Gozo ferry etc. A "must see" destination is M'dina. Go at lunchtime and have a Maltese Platter next door to the "Malta Experience"
