I really enjoyed my stay here. Great, friendly staff. Hotel food was great quality. My room was clean & daily maid service was good. Nice small pool, other guests were very pleasant & polite. I'd certainly stay here again.

This was our first time to Malta and we travelled with our 1 year old son and parents and were overwhelmed with this hotel. What you see is what you get! The rooms were well kept and the bathroom was well maintained and cleaned to an excellent standard. It had a working fridge, so ideal for cold drinks and snacks, however you did have to pay to use the safe and that we believe should be part of the price. The breakfast was fantastic with an excellent range of options for the standard of the hotel and this was especially helpful with my baby son and mum who is a vegetarian. The pool is on the small side but again was maintained and cleaned. The gym did not serve its purpose, the 2 pieces of equipment was not up to standard and there is so much opportunity for more. The reception staff were very friendly and spent time entertaining my son and on most occasions had the correct information about local buses etc. The location is perfect for families, avoiding the noise central location, but this was easily accessible (25 min. leisurely walk). Bus stops/routes and pebble beach were also within easy reach as were restaurants and mini markets.

Room Tip: Higher rooms have sea view, lower ones will have view of pool area/other

I had read previous reviews from this site where rooms 216, 316 and 416 were recommended. I e-mailed Simon (the manager) from the hotel's website and asked for one of these rooms where he simply allocated me room 316. I could not have asked for more as it was a massive room (clearly a family room) and had great views over the outdoor pool and over the sea. The only room in the entire hotel that could possibly be better is room 416. This did not cost anything extra. I could not disagree more about people commenting upon the staff not being friendly. They were all very friendly and helpful (with the exception of one miserable guy on the night shift), especially the chefs in the restaurant. My other half is a vegetarian and she would simply ask what she wanted to have earlier that day in order to give them enough time to cook it for her. Clearly this hotel is not along the lines of a Hilton or a Radisson, but the outdoor pool was nice and it is a quiet area if you want to simply escape from the promenade and noise of many resort places. The bus stop on the main road is only a few minutes walk away and provides buses to Valletta, Golden Bay and St Julian's. Room cleaning was fast and efficient and always took place when we were down at breakfast. Malta is a great destination to go to as a one-off and if I had to come back then it would be a toss-up between here for convenience and providing everything I needed at a very decent price or the Hilton for out and out luxury.

Room Tip: Either e-mail the manager for room 416 or 316 in advance of going.

We spent a week here in July. We have two teenage daughters. We had two 1st floor rooms, which the hotel had allocated next door to each other as requested. The rooms were clean and a good size. The beds are on the hard side - but we all slept fine. The shower/bath was good with a plentiful supply of hot water. OK, there were not the toiletries etc that you might get in english hotels but there was soap and liquid soap. Also no coffee/tea facilities in room - we did hire fridge for 2 euros a day to store drinks.
We had poolside views. The pool is not huge but it is clean and does get the sun all afternoon - the water was lovely. Even in the height of summer there were enough sun beds (while we were there all the pool and balcony furniture was replaced with new contemporary style furniture). .The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fine - like most continental hotels, there was the choice of meats, cheese, fruit, croissants, bread, sausage end eggs. Coffee and hot chocolate were good. The bar snacks are good - big portions and value for money.
The hotel is in a good location - 10 minutes walk (and I am a big girl!) down to the main restaurant/bar/shop area of Bugibba - but far enough away to remain peaceful.
I would definitely stay there again. It was good value for money - we paid about £45 per room per night on a b&b basis - with friendly staff. Our family enjoyed our time there.
