spent a long ( 71 day ) winter stay here returning home in Feb 2013. found our room adaquate and the room service was excellent , our maid was Anna and she kept every thing spick & span.food was ample with a good selection at all sittings . the staff were all friendly and helpfull and they provided entertainment almost every evening.Tony the bar man would do a stint singing on carioko nights, he,s brill. the hotels location is spot on with every thing you need just a short walk away. if you want value for money this is the place, the wife and me will returning again this winter.

Room Tip: when in Malta try to mix with the locals, they are the most friendly people you could wish to meet.

Room and staff can't fault them, swimming pools not good no rails to help you in,food could do with bit more variety ,etc more salad options and perhaps cream or custard to accompany the deserts.Good location, weather hot.

Room Tip: Front or facing pool.

Couldn't get to the room till 14:00hrs, not big issues as you can leave your suitcase in a room next to the reception. Near to the local bus terminus, were you can get a weekly ticket for 12 euros and you'll see the whole island for that, just beware of the driver changing destination when your on the move, happened to us once, but if in doubt ask the driver before getting on, they rarely ask to see your tickets once on, and they fill up quick.
Best beaches Golden Bay and Mellieha Beach both on a bus route to the north, and we took a trip over to sister island Gozo on the ferry which run every 40mins but takes some 20 mins to reach, then get to the capital Victoria, and visit the Basilica San Gorg the views are stunning.
And dont miss out on Valletta and mid-day at the Upper Barrakka Gardens for the Saluting Battery something to set your watches by, and afterwards a walk round, I should say make sure you have some good walking shoes on as some of the hills in this city are 45dgrs and you need to be fit, plenty of places to eat and drink and people watch if thats you thing, and the churhes, well you must go in and look round they are very grand and tkae your breath away.
Eating out is easy enough and we went for a couple of set menus which when the food came out you had difficulty finishing as there was plenty, drinks are reasonalbe and the people are always helpful. The sealife center is nearby but at 12euros each a little expensive to my tastes.
Would I go back to Malta???....perhaps but as there are very fews beaches I'd not take small children unless you stop in the two resorts that I mentioned.
B & B at the Canifor was the same each day but plenty of it at the same time, staff pleasant
rooms kept clean each day.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 4th floor on the front of the hotel, sun all afternoon, with a view to the sea...

I was quite terrified having booked this Hotel and reading the reviews afterwards. Against the odds, I have very much enjoyed my holiday there! I have paid £380 for 5 nights (2 adults and 2 children All inclusive). The hotel staff was nice and helpful, there is a variety of food to chose from . The room was cleaned and the towels were changed once a day. Maybe it is not the cleanest hotel ever but if you like to be picky and you expect the Hilton 5 star standards, you would have to pay 3 times more and you will get what you want... This Hotel is perfect for the price you pay. I would definitely recommend it to my friends....

Definitely not a 4 star. The room was old and outdated, only just described as clean. We were put in the Court apartment which was 3 flights up and I got stuck in the lift. The lift was always breaking down. We arrived at 3am to find our bathroom 2inches deep in water. It was sorted the following morning but not what you expect. We were unable to secure a room for the day we left so was without a room from 11am till 12pm. that night. Everyone else was in the same position surely a room should be available for late leavers. We actually only got 6 days not 7 as we had booked. The food was ok but very repetitive. Our granddaughter of 12 struggled to find anything she liked. No fruit.. We will not be returning.

My wife and I stayed for a week all inclusive in October this year. Hotel was in centre of Qawra and close to bus station. Hotel had rooms and also apartments attached. Room was adequate and you cold survive on the food but unfortunately NOT a 4 star Hotel. Suspect it got its rating because it has outdoor and indoor pools although small. Few people used either. No service at pool area. You had to go inside to bar for drinks etc. There was a sunbathing area with small whirlpool on sixth floor which we didn't use. We had fifth floor bedroom with low walls between balconies. Lower floors had high wall between balconies. Water temperature was low - could take most of an hour to fill a bath. Water problems. Sometimes no water or hot from both taps. It was sorted before end of week. Room had aircon and roof fan but no tea/coffee facilities. Shoe shine block and sewing kit in room but no needle!!
Self Service B'fast with full fry although bacon was more fat than meat. One vending machine for juices therefore people had to queue. Two vending machines for tea/coffee/hot chocolate etc although got chocolate when I pressed button for coffee. No tea spoons just plastic sticks. Dinner was usually a choice of four/five main courses and reasonably acceptable. Lunch appeared to be left overs from Dinner the night before. We ate out most of the time as there were many restaurants nearby. Dinning room too small for number of rooms. You had to squeeze through tables to each serving area. Live entertainment most nights that seemed to be well supported by those staying in the Hotel.
Reception area clean and tidy and always manned. Whole Hotel could do with a major revamp.
A passable Hotel but definitely not 4 Star quality. We called in to San Antonio Hotel - also 4 star and only a short distance away. It was totally different and appeared to easily merit 4 star in comparison. If you want 4 star service consider another Hotel.

Room Tip: Fifth floor has better view but water pressure problems.
