Manassas Junction Bed and Breakfast
Ranked #1 of 3 Manassas B&B and Inns
Reviewed 3 August 2014 via mobile

My husband and I opted to try Manassas Junction B&B based on the Trip Advisor reviews as our first experience at a Bed & Breakfast on the weekend of July 26-27, 2014..and we were NOT disappointed!! From the warm welcome by the proprietor, Ann (and later on, her husband, Mark, as well) at the charming home built in 1902, to the cloud-like cozy bed and the delicious and filling breakfast, every part of our stay was magical!! We loved the easy way that they manage their B&B and the feeling of "coming home" at the end of the day. Ann and Mark were inviting, laid back, and always ready for a friendly chat. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer! We would highly recommend this beautiful B&B to any traveler visiting or passing through Manassas or the surrounding areas!!

Tip: When trying to locate the B&B, you will find it nestled back into a sharp bend in the road, behind a row of lush greenery. It was a bit difficult to find at first, but we loved the privacy of the location once we found the home!

Stayed: July 2014

My girlfriend & I couldn't have been happier with our stay at Manassas Junction B&B. We drove down from Baltimore on a Friday afternoon to go see Luke Bryan at Jiffy Lube Live (AWESOME by the way) and stayed one night here. One of my favorite things to do for getaways is to find a great B&B in order to feel at home and enjoy the area while learning about the scene from locals. Boy did this place deliver!

Everything from setting up our arrival to getting settled in & out of the house was simple & comfortable. If you prefer to keep to yourselves, though I'd recommend engaging the innkeepers in conversation, the two rooms upstairs are spacious and quiet. The innkeepers are both unobtrusive and very hospitable, so whether you want to relax or talk, it’s your choice. I can't remember which room we stayed in but both looked wonderful and felt it too! There was even a basket of treats awaiting us in the room including local apples, some trail mix, water & chocolate...just perfect.

The innkeepers here are simply superb. Ann was extremely friendly and outgoing from the moment I spoke with her over the phone to welcoming us and then sadly having to say goodbye. Although we only briefly met Mark due to staying just one night, he was friendly and made a mean omelette for both of us before heading out to work in the morning. On that note, breakfast was divine! Between mouthfuls of delicious food my girlfriend and I learned a lot about the area talking with Ann. Fresh berries and Stonyfield yogurt started off the meal, shortly followed by fresh baked muffins topped with several homemade spreads that would simply melt over your taste buds. Scrumptious omelette & hash browns followed until we just couldn’t eat another bite.

We absolutely can't wait to find a reason to visit Manassas again in order to stay here a few days! Hopefully we’ll find some time to enjoy relaxing on the wraparound porch and/or comfy living room with all its interesting books.

My husband and I stayed here over Veterans'Day 2013. Mark & Ann are extremely hospitable hosts and provide a wonderful breakfast. The house is meticulously decorated in Civil War-era style. Our room was comfortable, cozy, well-appointed, and quiet. Would highly recommend.

Words could not express the friendly, comfy feeling you get when you first step into this B&B.
Ann and Mark are wonderful hosts that have thought of everything from the robes and slippers to the lovely basket of snacks in our room. Oh, and my favorite the oversized soft bath towels. Wow!
The homemade organic breakfast was delish! From the warm muffins to fresh berries from their garden.
Don't let me forget the fresh, French press coffee which Ann did a great job keeping the carafe full. She even filled my husbands thermos for the road.
Olde Town Manassas was within walking distance. It's a quaint town with a museum, train station, shops, cafés and restaurants.
We stayed in the Myers room which was very comfy, lovely and bright.
I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone that wants to step back in time as this Queen Anne Home is approx 112 years old.

For Ann and Mark who ran the B&B they were amazing. The rooms and house were lovely, the breakfast was fresh, and often made from local garden materials, and the bathrooms were large and beautiful. The entire decor for the house was very cute and the beds were extremely comfortable. If we were coming and had stayed just inside of the B&B everything would have been perfect.

Manassas as a town was not great It's a "historical" town that clearly does not have enough revenue to keep it's historical attractions open and running. The locals are nice, but also are clearly trying to take advantage of what little tourism there is. We did the taste of manasas and that really was very very fun, we would do that again.

Overall- the B&B was great and they couldn't have done anything to improve that. If we go back we will probably hide out inside and not venture into the town.

Room Tip: We had the Prescott room which was superb.

Mark and Ann were extremely courteous and friendly to me and my fiance. We found breakfast delicious, the room was fantastic, the tub was huge :) We went for a walk through Old Town Mananas (less than a 10 minute walk away) and it was lovely weather and people. Unfortunately, they have awful people for neighbors...on both sides. While this is not in anyway the hosts fault, it should be mentioned. We parked in the neighbors parking lot (literal lot) by accident and were called up to move our car. (Mark even volunteered to drive to us, get our keys, and move the car so he is amazing!) but it was in a parking lot...

Then at 4am, the other neighbor revved his motorcycle from 4-415. I have no idea why. The whole house shook and I was donning my bathrobe (provided by them, truly lovely house) to go yell at the snot.

In summary, amazing hosts, amazing house, amazing town, but the neighbors were really that bad.

We (SIL,BIL,DH) stayed at the Manassas Junction B & B 3 weeks ago. The rooms were well appointed and the beds were comfortable. We were welcomed with a lovely basket of fruit, nuts, healthy bars and water. Ann prepared a lovely breakfast from locally grown, organic foods. We will definitely return if ever in the area.
