Poiana Verde is a very good looking villa. Or it was... Because when I was there, the kitchen furniture was damaged (closets without doors), tableware and kitchenware were missing and the kitchen was dirty even after the maid clean-up, the bath basin from our bath was broken and so on. It was looking like nobody took care of this location for sometime.
We also had some problems with the check-in. We made the reservation and paid an advance one month before our arrival. We let the landlord know that we are traveling with children under 1 year old. When we arrive, they informed us that our rooms are not free, because some tourists prolonged their stay with one day. Their proposal was to accommodate us for one night in a nearby hotel, and to transfer us in the next day to the villa! It was obvious that we did not agree.
Otherwise, the location is wonderful, the villa has a living room with a large TV set and DVD, nice terrace, hammocks, chaises lounges, a large domain and a little lake - good for fishing (if you bring your own fishing line). The rooms are large, have a little balcony, a dressing room (very good when you travel with lots of luggage), nice furniture.
But the bathroom is very little and had an unpleasant smell. The bathroom window could not be opened, because of the fact that the shower cabin was put in front of the window. There were not enough power outlets and we were not able to charge our telephones without switching off the TV or the pillow light. Some of the bulbs light were not functioning. The door of our room was making a horrible noise when it was open. We had only one blanket for a king size bad (it is true that it was a large blanket).
