“Alora Valley View Accommodations Gets It Right... It Gets It All Right”
Reviewed 26 June 2013

My wife, daughter and I have just returned home from our first holiday to Alora Valley Accommodations (June 2013). We stayed in the apartment which is fully modern fully equipped and immaculately clean. Our hosts JR & JAMES were welcoming, friendly, helpful and made us feel very much at home. To wake up each morning to wonderful peace and quietness and a swim in the lovely pool with amazing views (to die for) and a lovely garden is just a health tonic. The location is perfect for exploring Andalucia with brilliant roads and only minutes from Malaga Airport and there is even a train station nearby. What a place we will definitely be back.

Room Tip: The apartment is excellant and so is the B&B -- All is excellant

Words can not describe the wonderful holiday we have just had!
Our return trip to Alora Valley View was everything and more we had wished for.
We stayed in the beautiful self- catering apartment and to wake up every morning to the amazing views of the countryside was pure heaven.

Once again James and Jan Roger were the perfect hosts and a couple of evenings Jan Roger cooked some fabulous food for us, We really enjoyed the chats and the lovely wine and beers!!
Thanks again James and Jan Roger and as we say 'Until next time'
Liz and Shay

We stayed with James and JR for five days in May. From the outset, they were gracious, kind hosts who made us feel immediately at home. Their house is beautiful - we stayed in one of the B&B rooms which was immaculately clean and well equipped and the guys were around to help with anything we needed - nothing was too much trouble. JR is an excellent cook so we had good breakfasts out on the terrace and we also chose to eat at the house one night which was wonderful. Alora is a cute town with some pleasant walks and friendly locals, and the train connections from Alora station are really handy.
I would recommend Alora Valley View to anyone - James and JR are excellent hosts, the house is beautiful, the area is gorgeous. Ask JR for his chicken curry soup, it's to die for!

Room Tip: The B&B rooms are next door to each other so great if you're travelling as two couples.

We stayed in the self-catering apartment for a week in mid May. The apartment is spacious, immaculately clean and very well equipped.Heating and aircon in main room and bedroom. Heating needed and appreciated as the weather was unseasonably cold! Kitchen particularly good. Our hosts, James and Jan Roger were charming and very helpful.Location just outside Alora is great with views over the valley to both El Chorro and El Torcal.
We picked up groceries at Supermarket in Malaga on the way. Spar supermarket nearest house is quite small but we discovered (too late!) some lovely independent groceries, butchers and fishmongers in the interior of the village itself. Old town is worth exploring. Trips to El Chorro and Ronda are absolutely to be recommended - you can go by car or take the train from Olora station (leaves Alora 10.30, return train leaves Ronda at 16.55 return fare 17 Euros) Train journey is spectacular and worth it as the drive to Ronda is circuitous and takes longer.

We returned to Alora Valley View, this time to stay for a week in springtime. Our hosts were their charming, friendly, considerate selves, and the apartment was spotlessly clean and comfortable, just as it was on our first visit. We made some great train journeys from Alora, the highlight being a day's outing to Ronda. We also particularly enjoyed the beautiful wild flowers at this time of the year.

We stayed here for a couple of days when we were driving through Andalucia. We stayed in one of the B&B rooms and the standard is high. The beds were very good the room was cleaner than the other hotels or B&Bs we stayed in on our vacation. The breakfast was also very good, with all you want, even homemade orangejam! The hosts JR & James were both very charming and friendly. The B&B has a nice pool and a stunning view :)

Just an overnight stay on a cycle tour. Stayed in the b&b rooms, beautifully appointed and decorated with excellent beds. Hosts were charming without being too intrusive- we chose to eat with them which is unusual for us as we are a bit antisocial! The views are superb and chilly water didn't put my son off a dip in the pool.

Room Tip: Ps accidentally clicked on fitness centre to review : there is not one! Nice pool though!
