We run a quad biking company here in alora and once we have completed a great day out we always take our clients to de knas, the atmosphere is tradditional buzzing tapas restaurant styled. Although it can get very busy if you get in before 9pm you can find a table somewhere. In the summer months the staff just keep adding anopther table and set of chairs and eventually the bar has some 20 tables on the pedestrian area outside and the atmosphere is amazing. The food is as it should be, hot, fresh and at a great price.

We visited this tapas restaurant several times when staying nearby at Fuegoblanco. It provides excellent tapas and raciones. Prices start at 99 cents for a tapas and even the most expensive plates are only a few euros. Its possible for two people to eat well with a couple of beers for the equivalent of about £15. In Britain this would get you about three tapas with no drinks if you're lucky! I think we just don't understand the concept of having lots of little dishes. It gets crowded quickly inside and out but there is always a great atmosphere and chat between those eating and those waiting for seats. Lots of seafood, mainly fried but also grilled. Try the dish called 'Shut up and eat it' if only for the name. Hit of the visit, aubergine fried in a light tempura batter drizzled with dark chestnut honey, it sounds so wrong but tastes so right. There is an English version of the menu and the staff will give advice about what to order.
