“Brilliant stay, would do it again!”
Reviewed 29 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

My wife and I stayed at the villa for a week together with our three children in early June. It turned out to be one of the best vacations we have had in a long time. Lovely scenery and very quiet surroundings, which is exactly what we wanted for this trip. The villa itself is also extremely comfortable and done to a high standard. Can wholeheartedly recommend Villa Tranquila.

“Stunning!”
Reviewed 4 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We stayed for a week in Villa Tranquilla and it was one of the most relaxing holidays i have had in a long time!

The villa was done to a VERY high standard with all the mod cons you could ask for. We only used the one bedroom as there were just the two of us staying but with 5 bedrooms this can accommodate a big group comfortably with more than enough bedrooms!

The pool and lush gardens with great mountain views were so quite and private and we left the villa only a handful of times to go to the nearby Benahavis.

The instructions were very clear and Michael had been very helpful in answering questions but most of the things were listed in a comprehensive manual.

In the evenings the cinema room provided a great evening where we were spoilt for choice aswell as the fast internet services.

We will definitely be going back!

“Tranquility and Comfort beyond Expectations: I shall return!”
Reviewed 19 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Nestled high up on a mountainside, Villa Tranquila, is sublimely peaceful. With uninterrupted alpine and ocean views, and no roads or other houses in sight, the feeling is one of Splendid Isolation. However, only fifteen minutes drive away is the glamour and vibrancy of Puerto Banus, where we spent a wonderful evening on the Marina at a Restaurant recommended by the Villa's owner, (in the supremely helpful 'Instruction Manual'!).

Luxury and Contemporary Comfort are found throughout the property. During our stay the first few days were unseasonably cool and overcast, but with underfloor heating, and 'reverse air conditioning' at the touch of a button in each room, (not forgetting the amazing electronically operated 'Black Out Shutters', guaranteeing undisturbed sleep), surround sound throughout, (even outside by the pool!), from a fully integrated remote controlled Media System with Satellite TV, Films, Box Sets, Music etc. on demand, super fast Wi-fi and a cocoon like uber comfortable Cinema Room, the weather did nothing to mar our stay!

When the sun appeared half way through the holiday, the pool, gardens, outdoor dining room and lounge area came into their own. Again, everything you could possibly need from Pool Towels to adjustable shading over the Lounge Area is provided.

Superbly designed, the open plan, split level kitchen and living room have everything you could want. Being quite a keen cook, I really appreciated the incredibly well designed kitchen, with all possible utensils and bang up to date appliances. So on trend, there is even a 'Nutri Bullet' Blender, which which made detoxing so much easier in the morning, before retoxing later on!

Set in a huge Private Estate the are miles of mountain walks. One grey day we walked over the opposite hills to the local town of Banhavis, which took about an hour in stunning scenery, not a soul in sight, and ate lunch, (again following a recommendation from 'The Manual'), the hugest portions of superb local dishes, washed down with very inexpensive, yet worryingly moreish, wine. Thankfully, the waiter was only too happy to order us a Taxi for the journey back. Dinner was not required that day!

Javier, the Villa Manager was always a phone call away and had the wi-fi fixed in no time went it failed one afternoon.

Shopping for provisions has one difficulty, where to go? There are so many choices of supermarkets a short drive away. The Carrefour was a revelation, with a Fish & Seafood Counter to rival Bibendum in Brompton Cross, at about a quarter of the price!

All in all Villa Tranquila ticks all the boxes, and, as in the previous reviews, I cannot fault it as the perfect place for Seclusion and Relaxation, with every comfort and all Mod Cons, yet so near to a myriad places for almost every possible activity from Retail Therapy to beachside Paella!

I intend to return for a Family Holiday next year and can't wait!

Thank you to Michael, (the lucky owner), Javier and the Team, for taking such good care of us so 'invisibly'!

“Simply Stunning”
Reviewed 30 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We stayed for five days in this beautiful place. Villa Tranquila certainly lives up to its name, birdsong and the rustling of the leaves being the only sound to disturb the silence. The far reaching views are glorious, stretching down to the coast with the far distant Atlas Mountains and Gibraltar often appearing through the clouds.
The villa is so well-equipped; a real home from home with everything thought of and more to make a truly fabulous holiday destination for anyone treating themselves to a week or two of luxury in beautiful surroundings.
The directions given to the villa were clear and easy to follow and the roads, although twisting, afford wonderful views as you wind your way up to the valley's end.
I cannot recommend this villa enough. Total bliss.

“AMAZING Villa Tranquila”
Reviewed 17 November 2015 for a stay in September 2015

My husband and myself have now twice stayed at Villa Tranquila and could not recommend it any higher!

Michael and Javier will take care of everything.

Our first visit in March ’15 was just to relax. There are no better place for it!

Secluded and private with breathtaking views, we found everything we need to just stay at the Villa for 3 consecutive days. We bought groceries at the recommended shops, cooked ourselves, enjoyed the patio for long lunches and watched movies in the cinema room downstairs. Once we felt comfortable to let the outside world in, we took advantage of the many recommendations Michael made for restaurants and sightseeing in the area. We loved the small restaurants and shops in Benahavis (a short drive) but also really enjoyed Marbella Golf and Country Club restaurant that is just down the road from Monte Mayor.

On our second trip in September ’15 we played golf almost every day. With so many courses to choose from you are really spoilt for choice. We left the Villa early morning, played golf all day then had long lazy dinners in the area, but always look forward to returning to the tranquility of the Villa.

Next time we visit (hopefully soon) we would like to take some family along to fill the Villa’s 5 bedrooms - I can not think of a better place to enjoy with loved ones.

“Villa Tranquila is just fantastic”
Reviewed 2 October 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Stayed at Villa Tranquila for a week with my wife, mother in law and our baby daughter of 3 months.

The villa ha all amenities needed to enjoy the vacation to the fullest. Having the luxury of having your own pool, BBQ with family, enjoy the cinema room and the beautiful scenery of the Benehavis mountains was just fantastic.

15 min drive down the mountain and you are is close proximity to restaurants, shopping and nightlife.

Villa Tranquila really lives up to its name, could have asked for a better place to spend time with my family. Its a must for next year!!
