We enjoyed our stay very much- Mr Weber and staff were always courteous and obliging. We felt very much at home. The rooms were immaculate, quirky and comfortable. The hotel was well appointed with a small pool, roof terrace with stunning views. The dining area was cool and welcoming, the breakfasts delicious.

Fantastic place, location and service. The place is really cute and the rooms are clean and cozy. We stayed at the astronomer's room and we loved it. The owners are really nice and friendly and they have a new chef that is fantastic as well. We are looking forward to going back again next year.

Room Tip: You can see the stars from bed in the astronomer's room!

We have stayed at the Amanhavis for a night for the last three years and have always enjoyed the themed rooms , fantastic food and great service. Although we have an apartment 45 minutes away we enjoy the break from the coast and the exceptional food- the best in the are!. Do not miss breakfast either- yet another feast.

The Amanhavis was stumbled upon the previous summer and we liked Benahavis so much we said we must stay this year even if for just a night. Absolute pleasure to stay there, the owners were so friendly and added a great personal touch, the location is perfect, the quirkiness of the themed rooms, the sun terrace, the pool area, the massive door keys, the open kitchen, the free wifi accessible in certain areas all contribute the old/new. Attention to detail is evident from reception to room.

We stayed in Philosophers Room, books galore, an iconic viewable hole in floor glass covered with scrolls/philosopher items. Ensuite bath/shower of course. We loved it and will return next time definitely.

Room Tip: Any will do

This has got to be the most delightful little hotel to be found anywhere on this very popular stretch of the Spanish coastline. The beachside complexes are huge and anonymous and very much like one another; but drive a few miles inland to the Moorish village of Benahavis and you come across this very old and beautifully restored building on a steep cobbled street. 400 year old stone and modern additions have been skilfully blended until you can't tell where one ends and the other begins - which is at it should be, but sadly so rarely is. The owners and staff are charming and can't do enough for you, while the restaurant is justifiably renowned.

A tiny but perfectly sited pool, shaded by vines and trees, terraces from which you can see the sun set on the surrounding hills, and overall a feeling of having stepped back 400 years or so. What thinking traveller could settle for the traffic jams and crowds of Torremolinos or Marbella when this oasis awaits in the hills?

The Amanhavis is a small comfortable hotel in the middle of Benhavis,The owners Leslie and Burkhard were extremely helpful, and made our stay very enjoyable. We had the Chrisopher Columbus room, which is not huge but very cosy, the bathroom is really nice. The terraces are a nice place to sit, and look over the village, the pool is small but would be really welcome on hot days.
The restaurant....a comfortable casual room, the sevice was really good, however after reading some reviews we were hoping for something really good, it was good but not great.

A truly memorable and fantastic experience. Mr Weber and his wife proved to be excellent and hospitable hosts, while staff provided exemplary service. This hotel is a gem in surroundings that can be stated to be both inspiring and unique. The attention to detail and themes in each individually created room are complimented by the spotless housekeeping standards that are maintained throughout the property. The high quality and varied international cuisine is complimented by the regional Andalusian dishes available with excellent service. This well managed property is a must to visit for the traveller weary of the experiences of mediocre chain hotels and can be assured of guests repeating this experience.
