I went to the Woodstock Inn last weekend for a wedding, and ended up having an amazing time at both the hotel as well as the festivities.

The Inn is located on the "main" drag in Woodstock, walking distance to everything you might want to see in town. We had a King Bed, and it was probably one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. My friend and I actually looked at the tags and are both going to be buying the linens! The bathroom was a good size - just not a big fan of the Spa branded products they provided.

Everyone at the hotel was great, especially the bartenders and housekeepers, everyone always had a smile on their face. We ended up getting breakfast in the room, and it was pretty great for hotel food. Additionally, we visited the spa on the last day there, which was great, and the hotel was more than happy to extend us a late checkout. The Spa was AMAZING - clean, modern, and relaxing - especially the eucalyptus steam room. The massage was also great - I recently had surgery and the masseuse was very accommodating not to upset it.

The rehearsal dinner was hosted at the Inn, and the food was spectacular. They also catered the wedding, which was also great, and again all of the staff was extremely pleasant.

I can not recommend this place enough - it is a bit pricey but well worth it - especially if you are there for a romantic weekend. I wish I had been there longer to enjoy the pool which also looks great!

Thanks you for the glowing review! We do love hosting weddings, and it’s especially rewarding to be able to share in such special and memorable events. The best thing about weddings, though, is that they bring new people to the Woodstock area, and give us the chance to show off our beautiful little town. We’re happy to have pleased you, and look forward to seeing you again soon!
All the best,
Rick Reno

Our stay was excellent in nearly every way. The room was lovely, with a wonderful bed and a soft, comfortable couch. The bathroom was luxurious, and I only wish I had such closets at home! Our room overlooked the front lawn and we enjoyed the view of the tulips. Except for noise from the hallway, it was very quiet. (Why do people think it's OK to talk in loud voices in hotel hallways?)

Our package included daily breakfasts, which were the highlight of the stay. Oh, that applewood-smoked bacon! And French toast the size of France! Not forgetting the lovely maple syrup. fresh fruit, and good coffee. (One quibble: Servers should bring cream at the same time they bring coffee. It's so hard to smell it and wait for the cream to arrive!)

We ate in both the Richardson Tavern and the Red Rooster Restaurant. Both were very good, with excellent service. Each evening we enjoyed cocktails in the Tavern.

My spa visit was wonderful. The massage and facial were excellent. The pedicure was very good, but the manicure didn't last long.

At all times, we felt appreciated and welcomed. The barmen, the bellmen, the concierge, and the desk staff worked hard to make us happy. It's not cheap, and we hate the stupid resort fee. Just raise the rates! But we hope very much to return.

Thank you for including The Woodstock Inn in your trip to New England! Our Culinary team was thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed your breakfasts and the delicious Vermont maple syrup! Alas, our spring tulips are gone for the summer, replaced by heliotrope, salvia, and verbena; then the traditional autumn chrysanthemums. We hope you’ll be able to make it back soon, to enjoy everything the area has to offer in all four seasons!
Thanks again,
Rick Reno

We've always dreamed of coming to the Woodstock Inn and our visit was divine! We had a lovely room and the incredible staff directed us to many sights around the region. It was our first visit to the area and we felt right at home. Several friends had recommended that we stay at the Woodstock Inn and were thrilled to experience this quintessential New England treasure. Our thanks to everyone at the Inn - you all provided us with a memorable experience.

Good thing I got the Sugar Season Escape package for one night and left with a $215.00 bill. I have to give credit to their website designer who makes the Woodstock Inn seem like paradise reincarnated. In reality, the place is on a small lot and I had a view of the parking lot. Don't forget the resort fee of $25 because to do anything you have to DRIVE there. Including a workout room. Why bother? I got one of the worst rooms in the place, and the walls are like paper. Clearly a place riding on their reputation and thinking they are really worth over $300.00 a night (yes, that is the standard rate.) What a rip-off. Save your money and stay at the Sleep Woodstock Hotel. I have not felt this ripped off in a long time.

Room Tip: Pay through the nose and maybe you will get a good room.

Loved this hotel! The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more obliging. Always greeted you with a pleasant smile. Loved that there were quaint restaurants and shops within walking distance. Billings Farm was a wonderful experience. Ben and Jerry's factory was only a little over an hour away, and the ride up there was picturesque and beautiful. Dinner in Richardson's Tavern was delicious. Wish we could have spent more time there!

Woodstock is a New England town out of central casting. Easily walkable, scenic, historic-era homes. This boutique-style hotel brims with service-oriented staff who never fail to say 'hi' or open the door for you, and seem willing to cater to your every whim. We visited recently for a family birthday with 10 people and felt welcome from the minute we arrived. Rooms were great size (even for a family with 2 growing teens). Grounds are immaculate. Daily tea time with fresh cookies is a nice touch. Had dinner one night in the tavern, which was surprisingly good, despite our arrival just short of closing. Morning breakfast buffet was outstanding, with a wide selection that changed just enough each day to keep it interesting, but not so much that you feel like you missed out on something.
