We stopped in Woodstock for a visit but did not stay at the Inn overnight.. It was a nice quiet place to have a late lunch. We were seated immediately even without reservations. There are only four tables outside and they filled as we arrived, but we had a nice table overlooking the porch. Excellent service. We ordered a lobster roll which was good but not the best we have ever had ($15 is not the most expensive we have had either) However, we also ordered the the seafood stew ($18) ans it WAS the best we have ever had--absolutely loaded with great seafood, lobster, good mussels, large shrimp, excellent halibut and great broth. A glass of beer was $5 which beat the price we paid in other like places. So not inexpensive, but not wildly expensive for a resort restaurant and reasonable for seafood these days.. And portion of stew so large, took some home. The server didn't grumble when we asked and brought it well boxed and in a bag to carry. Would go back definitely.
