We stopped in - a group of 8 - on a Sunday afternoon. The atmosphere and menu were very promising. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the coffee was fantastic. Unfortunately, while the menu was interesting, the food was a bit of a disappointment. Burgers were overcooked (medium is supposed to be pink on the inside but these were more like well done). What was advertised as steak, was roast beef and per the friend who ordered it, inedible. Fries were good... but prices were outrageous. A coffee, a diet soda, a burger and fries totaled at almost $20.

We went stopped in on the recommendation of the motel next door. We were given a 15% off coupon, figured we'd give it a try.

Owners did not honor the coupon, said it was for dine in only, we were taking out. Then added an extra 3% because I paid with a debit card. You would think a place like this would be more accommodating and friendly forward tourists, their not.

After spending $36 on three breakfast sandwiches, a bagel, and drinks I left feeling like I had been ripped off. After tasting the food my suspicion was confirmed, terribly ripped off. Homemade does not always equal good quality.

It made perfect sense the place was empty on a Sunday morning. I'm honestly surprised they are able to sustain their business.

Five minutes out of Woodstock, and down by the sparkling river, here is a Vermont welcome to warm your heart. We stopped in for breakfast on our final morning in the area. It was cool and misty, and we sat by the fireside and felt like personal guests of Amy's. The breakfast was delicious from a menu you could not possibly exhaust. The fireside chairs are dreamily comfortable to ancient and well-walked backs!

It is the antithesis of what, in some parts of Woodstock, is frankly a bit of a rip-off. This is genuinely good and not expensive. Well done to Amy.

We ate lunch here one rainy afternoon and were so happy to have found this cafe! We loved the food, the reasonable prices, the ambiance, and the owner, Amy. It's quiet and cozy, with places to sit and read by the fireplace. The coffe and the food is wonderful! I had the seafood chowder and was pleasantly surprised to learn all their seafood is flown in fresh from the coast. My husband had an omlette - their breakfast is served till the middle of the afternoon - a generous portion that came with homemade toast. Yum! They have a nice selection of desserts, coffees and teas as well. This place is a fantastic find. It's located about 10 minutes W of Woodstock VT on Hwy 4.
