Fantastic accommodations, gracious hosts, and wonderful food! We were made to feel at home from the moment we set foot in the inn. We will return as soon as we can, and we highly recommend this lovely B&B.

We just came back from our 4th annual trip up to Woodstock, where we have stayed every year at the Deer Brook Inn. This B&B is one of the best we've stayed in -- David and George are friendly, gracious, considerate hosts. The breakfasts are deliciously crafted. The rooms are beautifully decorated, clean, and cozy. The Inn is about a 5 minute drive from the center of town right off the main highway, easy to access, and comfortably secluded. The town itself is quintessentially Vermont in its charm and character. I highly recommend visiting in the fall, as this is their peak season, particularly for foliage. Great restaurants and shops abound! If you take a trip to this region, do yourself a favor and stay at the Deer Brook Inn!

Room Tip: The rooms in the back of the house are a little quieter. The suite on the 1st floor is also wonderf...

My girlfriend and I spent 2 nights here in September the owners were fantastic and they were very accommodating to our needs. They had a awesome breakfast that included great company. Plus there are many things to do there from hiking to restaurants.

What can we say about the Deer Brook Inn that has not been said by others? From the delightful bowl of Hersey kisses in the lobby, to the warm welcome provided by the innkeeper, George, this is what every B and B should strive to be. We were personally escorted to our room, and given a brief history of the inn, it's previous owners, and current operation. Our room was large, immaculate, and beautifully decorated. The bathrooms had an ample supply of hot water for the shower. Heat was individually controlled. The breakfasts, served personally by the innkeeper, were delicious. Yogurt topped with cinnamon granola and fresh fruit,
" feathered eggs", perfect pound cake, poached fresh pear with raspberry sauce, and an apple dish to die for, all beautifully prepared. The innkeeper also graciously shared ingredients and cooking info for the various dishes. I doubt I could prepare them as well as he! We will definitely be back to this little treasure.

Room Tip: All the rooms we peeked into were lovely. I could not recommend one over the other. Our room was mor...

After researching online for a recent trip to Woodstock VT with my mom and cousin, we booked a stay at the Deer Brook Inn. This inn consistently had great reviews so we felt comfortable booking. When we arrived, the farmhouse is old and a bit worn on the outside, but what a great place to stay! It is so beautifully decorated with many antiques and so charming inside. We were greeted by George, one of the owners immediately and given a quick tour then he showed us to our room. It was just like the photos online and so clean. We had brought some wine and snacks and after settling in, we took our snacks down to the living room area to enjoy our wine. There are 5 rooms and some of the other occupants arrived while we were in the living area. One woman staying there for a conference in Woodstock introduced herself to us and ended up bringing her bottle of wine and some snacks down to join us. We had a wonderful conversation with her and were very comfortable in the inn. We went into Woodstock for dinner that evening. I highly recommend Richardsons Tavern at the Woodstock Inn. Very nice atmosphere and not quite as expensive as their restaurant, the Red Rooster. We had a wonderful meal. After that, we went to Bentleys to finish off the night before heading back to the Inn. We had a wonderful night's sleep. The beds are very comfortable and it's very quiet in the area. The next morning, George had told us breakfast began at 8:30 and we headed down after smelling the coffee brewing. We were treated to the most incredible breakfast! George served it to us and the other guests himself. We began with coffee and a juice blend. The next course was vanilla low fat yogurt with cinnamon granola garnished with bananas, strawberries and kiwi. It was served in a martini glass and was so delicious. Then, George brought out Featherbed Eggs. They were absolutely amazing. The coffee was refilled many times and everything was delicious and hot. It was such a treat. George recommended local places, told us about history of the farmhouse and shared some of his personal journey that led to being an innkeeper. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend this B&B to anyone staying in the Woodstock area. I only wish we had gotten to meet David but I'm sure we will at some point as we all would definitely go back! Thanks for a great weekend. You have a wonderful inn.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 2 which had a full size bed and a twin so it slept 3. We saw room 1 which was jus...

We loved everything about this place - the friendly and helpful hosts, the rooms and the amazing decorations, the breakfast... Such a nice place! There is a lot of effort and thought put into decorating the rooms, the living room and the dining room (we stayed in the "Dutch blue" room, so pretty). Excellent fresh breakfast. Stay there at least one night when travelling through Vermont!

We stayed at the Deer Brook Inn this past holiday weekend. The accommodations were fantastic -- very clean and comfortable. George and David are excellent hosts. And David makes a 'mean' breakfast -- even my 7 year old thought breakfast was awesome ! The inn is very quaint and beautifully decorated. Couldn't have asked for more !!!! Can't wait to go back this winter !
