We had the best time we could possibly wish for. We spent a weekend at the Jackson House and EVERYTHING was perfect. We stayed at the Clara’s Corner suite and our stay very much felt like we were at home.

We received such a warm and special welcome from Rick and Kathy. We just didn't want to leave. All the details were perfect (accommodations, decoration, and THE FOOD). Rick cooks breakfast and I had never had such a good breakfast before.

I cannot emphasize enough how special everything was.

I highly recommend it and can’t wait to go back.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your visit with us. We were sorry to have to say goodbye to you as well and can't wait for you to come again. The Clara's Corner suite is always a favorite with its beautiful king bed and comfy leather chair; the fact that you felt at home and that you noted our attention to detail are both incredibly important to us. Enjoy spring - we look forward to sharing the green seasons of Vermont with both of you!

The 3 nights we stayed at the Jackson House Inn were warm, cozy and comfortable. The inn keepers Kathy and Rick presence add to the charm.
This is must stay place if you ever have the opportunity to visit Woodstock, VT.
Rick serves a breakfast like no other. Every detail is executed precisely!
We will be back!

Warmth and comfort are two of our most important goals as we welcome guests - we are so pleased that you felt both. We plan to continue to offer breakfasts, rooms and atmosphere where all details are covered and extra touches are evident. It will be such a pleasure to welcome you in the future! Be sure to let us know if you have any particular breakfast item that you would like to enjoy.

This was by far and away the best B&B i've been to. The attention to every. single. little. detail is outstanding. You will be blown away with the look, feel, service, and breakfast. The rooms are incredibly comfortable, the breakfast was out of this world. I cannot wait to spread the word and go back here. Do yourself a favor: go to the Jackson House Inn.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Thorn Birds room... it was excellent. I cant decide if I want to keep that room or...

Thank you so much for the incredibly kind comments. We were so happy that you chose to come to the inn as part of your Vermont visit and that we had the chance to meet both of you. The airiness and light in the Thorn Birds room definitely makes it a popular choice - we'll be happy to welcome you to that or any of our other rooms/suites in the future.

We have been going to the Jackson House Inn for years. We have experienced 3 different owners. Kathy and Rick being the most current and definitely the best. They restored the dignity of the Inn. Their attention to detail, cleanliness and hospitality is why we go there. Rick is super talented in the kitchen and his love for local and fresh products makes breakfast a pure treat.
I am very finicky and can only relax when everything around me is clean and beautifully maintained. Kathy and Rick make sure that happens every time. All with warmth and a smile!

Your support of our adventure at the inn (with the many visits and kind words you've offered) has been such a joy for us. As we continue to build our "chapter" in the history of a beautiful house and property, it is important that we balance the rich beauty of years past with the amenities that visitors in 2014 deserve. Thank you for sharing your comments and for noticing our efforts to care for the space in order to meet our guests' needs.

We stayed just for one night in this lovely inn but wished we could have stayed longer. The owners of the Inn were very welcoming and Breakfast was delicious!!! We stayed in the Nicolas 1 suite which was very spacious and had a wonderful gas fireplace. The Inn had great little touches like a Keurig coffee maker in the bar area so you could make yourself a cup of coffee anytime. Also they had coffee out first thing in the morning for those of us who can't wait until breakfast for our first cup of the day.

Thank you for choosing to spend time with us for your "in-state" getaway - it was a treat to meet both of you! This winter has definitely been a season for fireplaces and on-demand coffee; we're happy you enjoyed both. As you note, though, that fresh Vermont-roasted coffee in the morning remains most important to many of us! Here's to spring!

This is probably the nicest b&b I've stayed in anywhere. The owners, Rick and Kathy, have obviously spent a lot of time and money refurbishing it when they bought it three years ago. It is beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable, both our room and the rest of the inn. They keep a fire going in the great room adjacent to the breakfast room. And speaking of breakfast, Rick is an inventive gourmet cook whose breakfasts I will not soon forget. Rick uses local and organic products when possible and does a wonderful job describing what you are eating and how it was made. Both Rick and Kathy are unobtrusively helpful with restaurant suggestions and things to do. I would definitely stay here again if I were anywhere close by.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Cranberry Room, the only one on the ground floor. Though it is small, it's nice...

Thank you very much for taking the time to tell others about your time at our inn, and for such kind compliments. We have enjoyed blending the beauty found in a historic building with the comfort we hope makes everyone feel at home. And, the floor-to-ceiling fireplace has definitely been a popular location during this incredibly cold winter, at breakfast and throughout the evening! Woodstock offers so many options for activities and for dining - we're happy you found our suggestions useful and would love to share new ideas with you if a return visit to the area comes to pass.

My wife and I have stayed at many Inn's and B&B's throughout New England and the East Coast, and we recently returned from our 4th visit to The Jackson House Inn which remains our favorite!. The Inn is as charming and smoothly-run when Rick and Kathy acquired it over four years ago, and the beautifully restored historic building, unique rooms, common areas and grounds provide a peaceful and cozy retreat we look forward returning to each winter.
More importantly, Kathy and Rick are warm, knowledgeable and wonderful hosts. They are very well-connected locally, providing excellent insight about dining, skiing, dog sledding, or other activities, and their recommendations are always spot–on. Rick's breakfasts are always a special treat, and his passion and love for food comes through not only with his cooking, but his description of each meal, which is quite unique!
Overall, The Jackson House Inn is a very warm, comfortable and relaxing "home", and we look forward to our next visit!.
