We have been to this place before and reviewed it.

We took some Danish relatives to La Tapita at 13.00 on Sunday for some drinks. We told the waiter drinks only and he immediately became hostile. The restaurant was busy but by no means full. One guest wanted coffee. "We do not serve coffee at lunch time on a Sunday" was growled at us. The coke zero ordered was delivered as regular coke. The witer would not look at us so i went into the bar and changed it. When it was time for the bill I was told an amount of money. Could i have a written bill please. OMG if looks could kill I would be dead now! I managed to get a hand written slip from the waitress, which clearl;y caused her much pain, that said 6 drinks @1.20=7.20.

Clearly our custom was not appreciated and our guests were bewildered at the attidude and said they had never experienced such hostilty in spain before.

We will not return.

This review is intended for non Spanish tourists.

The location is fine, right by the attractive town hall and most dining is outside. Menus are available in 4 languages. The menu itself is quite extensive, typical of the Sierra de Cadiz and the prices are reasonable. If you don't like music in your ear, take a seat to the right of the tables as you approach the restaurant walking uphill. There are often specials on offer on blackboards. If you don't expect alta cocina (haute cuisine) you will not be disappointed.

We have been before and would go again. I rate the restauarant as good but the rating system says average or very good so that is not possible.
