Thank you so much for returning to our Restaurant - and bringing 3 friends with you! The Waiters are very happy you appreciated the Service, the Chefs delighted you thought the food "lovely" and the Gardeners so pleased you enjoyed the setting - they all work very hard to créate all these aspects of the experience at Molino. We look foward to welcoming you again soon.

“Still as beautiful but complacent attitude!”
Reviewed 26 June 2014

We took the train from San Roque with friends to whom we had raved about the restaurant. The setting is exquisite but we left feeling disappointed. The set lunch menu is expensive at e25 as with drinks we paid e90 per couple with a tip! The food was nice rather than fantastic compared to similar restaurants.
My kebab was actually stuffed chicken thighs which I hate! That was misleading but it was the complacent, almost rude attitude of the the owner, who after agreeing the description was wrong said his wife thought it was nicer like that!
We felt that success has gone to their heads and they are too keen for customers to fill in 'feedback' forms which they clearly use to help their trip advisor rating. For us it is a three hour, very pleasant journey but ultimately we go for the food which needs to be better to tempt the many expats who travel daily from the coast!

I'm so sorry Catherine that your meal didn't live up to your expectations. The only reason we ask guests to fill in the Feedback Forms is to learn from comments and adapt our dishes accordingly - the Chef was very keen to make the Brochettes with Chicken thighs as he felt they were more flavourful. However, having listened to your feelings we totally agreed that we should specify this on the description and changed the wording the following day. We learn every day from our guests reactions and constantly try to improve - hand on heart, one thing we are not is complacent!.

We have absolutely no say in the Reviews guests choose to write for Tripadvisor.

Please accept our hearfelt apologies for your disappointment.

“excellent menu and great setting.”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

The food was of excellent quality and the quantities were just right. You could eat inside or as we did, outside next to the mountain stream.

“Creative, fresh, excellent”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

I was staying in the hotel so I had a chance to sample a range of dishes, and I thoroughly enjoyed everything. Each dinner started off with a complimentary 'amuse bouche' which was delightful. There's a wide variety from beef to pork to multiple types of fish. The smoked cod salad and the sizzling garlic prawns were particularly memorable starters. I truly enjoyed all the main courses I had--I'd happily have any of them again. It was all so fresh and flavorful; perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. They use local ingredients as much as they can. I loved the service--unobtrusive and well-timed. All my questions were answered in detail by our waiter who clearly knew each dish on the menu. (The menu is in both English and Spanish, which is a huge help.) The setting next to the river was idyllic, so it really checks all the boxes: lovely food, excellent service, and a beautiful setting.
