We had a wonderful lunch at Molino del Santo on May 24th. Since my last visit they have introduced a Menu del Dia for 24 euros. The food was excellent and the service was swift and friendly with Andy Chappell giving us a personal welcome. Whilst all of the meal was superb, it was the fresh raspberries in a white chocolate mousse which was just heaven! We'll be back again soon at what has long been a favourite venue of mine. The fun way to arrive is by train to Benaojan but this time we were driving as we had been to Sierra las Nieves to see the wonderful wild peonies and orchids still flowering.

Small charming hotel in a lovely setting.
Very relaxing with great food.
Attentive discrete service from helpful staff.
There is a range of walks direct from the hotel, a local train service allowing a one way walk and returning by train.

Room Tip: Choice of standard and superior rooms with terrace or balcony

After staying here so many times over the years the place feels like home, the owners and all the staff are like the kind of family that you'd like to have! Each time we come back we fall in love with Molino again, the location, the style of the place, the rooms and of course that wonderful atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble, every request is taken care of with a smile, just as it has been for years and years.
Our recent stay, just four days, was perfect, a birthday celebration made extra special by another guided walk with Eva, birds, wildflowers and every other aspect of nature, beautifully described.
The food just gets better and better, regional, seasonal and delicious-top chef and his team.
All in all the place is perfect and continues to top our hotel list. Well done to Andy and Pauline and the staff yet again!

WE arrived having taken the train and were greeted by Pauline as long lost friends and immediately taken to our room and shown how everything worked and times for meals etc. We went for a walk behind the hotel for an hour and then had a wonderful dinner...excellent variety of food and well prepared. With the sound of the river outside we slept like logs. Breakfast was a feast and eggs anyway you would like them. Quite crowded at lunch but Pauline and Andy and all the staff neve stopped working so hard and always with time to help or answer questions. WE were sorry to leave and would highly recommed a stay for any length of time.

This gem was our last stop on a walking holiday, on our walk to it I was hoping for a bit of luxury and a comfortable bed! We were not disappointed, the welcome was warm and our room with a private terrace(room18) was lovely, cool and spacious. Huge bed with white cotton bedding, compared to the other hotels we had stayed in there is no comparison. Everything you need is there, tea and coffee making facilities, minibar and toiletries and a hairdryer! The food is excellent, I have nothing bad to say it was a perfect end to the week and the best nights sleep! We will be back and telling all our friends about it.

Room Tip: Room18 up some stairs but quiet and private with great views of hotel and mountains

I really loved this family run hotel. The trip had been organized by a friend to celebrate his birthday. 34 of us met at the train station in San Roque & enjoyed the climb through wonderful countryside.
The bedrooms are well lit & are more than comfortable. Our bathroom was well appointed.
Dinner was excellent the kitchen knows what it is doing. Breakfast is also good.
I can highly recommend this hotel. You can take the 14:00 hrs train, arriving at 16:00 hrs. Spend an enjoyable evening. The next morning visit Ronda & take the train back down after lunch. For those looking for glitz this is not for you!

Just returned from Molino del Santo afters nearly a weeks stay,we have travelled throughout spain over many years and stayed in many excellent hotels yet we keep coming back here as it really is Special.

The hotel is small but cleverly designed around a small stream with lovely individual rooms (the beds are wonderfully comfortable at the end of busy day relaxing )

The loyal staff ( most have been there for years) make it special they are charming and patient as are the owners Andy and Pauline who have worked hard over many years to make this such a special place , they lead from the front and are always hands on with helpful advice about the area.

Situated close to Ronda yet set in a lovely rural area it is ideally placed for both town and country.

If you like relaxing , gently walking through endless fields of wild flowers , bird watching huge griffin vultures, enjoying great local food and wine or just having a coffee in Ronda watching the elegant Spanish walk by this is the place for you!!

There,s even a small local station on the door step so you can let the train take the strain on one of Michael Portillo,s railway journeys to see even more of this magical region, a real Hidden Gem don,t miss it.
