Set back off the road and not easy to spot, this old Mill house has been converted into a quaint rural small hotel, settled down on the river. The owner is extremely accommodating helping guests organise day trips with a special interest in walking and hiking. He even walked with us (a family of 5) trek all the way to the Summit of Mount Simancom - 10.5kms in 5 and a half hours, for a special day. He also helped us to organise a mountain bike trip with near Ronda, and a sight seeing trip around Ronda. The rooms are very comfortable and food is freshly prepared.

Room Tip: Room 7 was excellent - big balcony overlooking the river.

Only 10 rooms mean you get personal attention from the very helpful patron. Stunning countryside all around. Recommend a visit to Ronda for the views. The hotel owner has pre-printed walks and driving tours and clearly knows the area well. The (home made) food was excellent and there was a vegetarian choice both nights we stayed. Rooms lovely... ours overlook the stream of what is a converted water-mill.

My husband and I were looking for somewhere to escape for a relaxing weekend getaway to do some hiking and to soak up the beauty that is Andalucia. I so happened to stumble upon Hotel Molino 4 Paradas and it was a fantastic find! We had terrific correspondence with Phil, the owner, and decided to come that coming weekend. Phil was kind enough to specially approve for our pups to join us on our weekend getaway so they could enjoy the outdoors with us. Upon arriving, we were greeted by the friendly Susan and shown our beautifully decorated room. The next morning, we were offered a simple but delicious breakfast and discussed with Phil the many hikes available to us. After choosing a walk that suited are needs best, we were given directions and a map. Phil is loaded with information and is so kind to give very easy to follow and clear directions to find the way. Just outside the door to the hotel, their are many hiking routes to take. It was such a lovely recommendation and so nice to step right out the hotel door and begin walking! We returned to rest up and dined in the hotels restaurant. I was blown away by Phil's cooking abilities! I expected something decent to eat but what we got was near perfection after a long day of walking! There were two other couples dining as well and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals just as much. We had an appetizer, entree, and dessert and all were equally as delicious. I can't thank Susan and Phil enough for the kindness and for making such a nice weekend possible for us to enjoy with our pups! I'll be recommending this hotel to anyone and everyone I know! Fantastic location, great hosts, and in such beautiful surroundings. The hotel is within a 15 minute drive to Ronda so it is great to explore Ronda just as well and come home to a peaceful sanctuary! Book this hotel, you won't be disappointed!

Sandwiched between our visit to Seville and Granada, four nights in early October at the Molino was both a lovely respite from city touring and a wonderful opportunity to commune with nature. Our large and spacious room had its own private terrace, nice for reading and a “cuppa” at the end of a day. Philip, the owner, has a vast reserve of local hikes which he generously shares, complete with maps and routings. And, he’s a great cook! The dinners were terrific. Worth returning for an authentic country experience.

We recently stayed here for two nights. Room was lovely and whole place is full of character. Philip was extremely knowledgable about local walking routes and gave us some good ideas and tips. He was also very helpful in booking onward accommodation for us. Pool was clean and refreshing. Nice breakfast selection. Dinner was good, but limited menu (as to be expected in a rural place). There is also a room with a pool table which was great for our teenage kids.

We stayed for 2 nights and found that the rooms were very clean, the superior room is spacious. Being an English owner you are even provided with tea and coffee facilities in your bedroom. Excellent location for watching birds/ bats by the small river, Griffon vultures over the nearby hills and it is very near to Ronda - a 15 minute drive. We ate at the hotel on our first night and had an excellent 3 course meal with lovely homemade pate and deserts. We only didn't eat there on our second night as we wanted to see Ronda in the evening. Philip is a wonderful host and gave us a map and directions for a walk near Grazelema/ provided an excellent recommendation for our evening meal in Ronda. Only negative for us was that the bed in the superior room is exceptionally hard, but if this doesn't bother you then I would definitely recommend the hotel.

This English owned hotel has maintained its rustic Spanish charm. Although the owners were away and the restaurant closed we were offered a meal in the evening,( It would have been nice to know this in advance.) We were made very welcome and given an upgrade room overlooking the river. Absolutely fantastic for birdwatchers, the bedroom window gave us great birds from first thing in the morning until last thing at night right next to the river. Lovely walks in both directions along the river directly from the hotel.Breakfast ( cold meats, cheese, cereals and cheese) was very good and served by a charming, friendly Spanish lady. We ate each evening at the venta/cafe across the road from the hotel which was good basic fayre and reasonably priced. Our first impression of this hotel on arrival was that it needed some tlc in the gardens, outdoor furniture maintenance, etc. but this place grew on us. We were comfortable, and despite the broken furniture by the pool (which was spotlessly clean) and, torn dirty cushions. We loved our stay and would return. Be warned that the river is not very wide and on the other side of it is the railway track. Not a busy railway but pretty noisy a couple of times during the night with freight trains passing.

Room Tip: I would recommend this hotel but tell people in short," great location if you dont mind the few...
