This was my first stay at a Hyatt Place. I was hoping it would live up to the standards of a Hyatt. This is supposed to be a "self service" Hotel with kiosks for checking in and out. The hotel staff did not seem to know how to use the computer system at the front desk. I had to go to the front desk to get the key to my room work twice. The sheets felt like sandpaper.
I would not stay at a Hyatt Place again.

Note that the Grand Hyatt is just 200m away, this is the poorer cousin. Yet it is a good hotel, clean quiet. There is construction going on in the building just next to the hotel but does not cause any disturbance (except for the view). Rooms are nice with a massive flat screen TV, separate area for lounging with sofas. Beds are comfortable, breakfast is adequate and there is an option to add items (at a cost) to the complimentary breakfast.
Buckhead is about 8 miles away from downtown and considered upmarket hence the hotel is also expensive. There were 2 items of tax, one state occupancy tax and another hotel occupancy tax added to the advertised cost of the room, pushing the cost up by almost a fifth, so be warned.
If you don't mind the expense a good hotel to stay in.

Well...while this hotel has amenities like free internet and breakfast, overall my stay was pretty mediocre. I certainly didn't look forward to going back to my room. The lobby staff were friendly but they seemed to be socializing a lot and I felt a bit like an intruder. They did help me with an early check in and were overall very friendly. For the money it was ok. If you have a bit more of a budget, I'd find something a bit nicer. I think I will next time.

As always I was a bit skeptical about a hotel that I have never been to. This hotel was a great value for the neighborhood. The room was clean, the staff attentive and the location was perfect. I would most certainly stay here again. However the bathroom was small.

This is the worse Hyatt I have even been to …. The rooms are very good but there are no services… when we arrived the hotel was so crowded, they couldn't give us room's key because the key machine was not working.. The hotel has a series problem in services… I waited 20 minutes to get a sandwich.. The shuttle service is bad also…

We just had a three day stay at the Hyatt Place Buckhead. Overall we were impressed by the facility.
The rooms were very clean, and the beds and pillows were comfortable.
We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful.
As some other reviews have said my one knock would be the size of the bathrooms. they were small. although additional space was available just outside with a mirror.
The room itself was very modern and the flat screen TV was very nice.
The hotel was located in a nice area of Buckhead, with several restaurants within walking distance.

We would stay here again if in the area.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 days and 1 night. The room itself was adequate and I enjoyed the high definition t.v. and free wireless internet access. They serve a continental breakfast with starbucks coffee. However they advertise a fitness center with cardio AND strength equipment and all they had was a stationary bike and treadmills. They also had a pool that they listed as being open from 6:00 am till 10:00 pm, however they refused to open it till 9:00 am. Two of the power outlets in my room were not functioning at all. The front desk service was cold and impersonal at best. The room contained no information on local attractions or dining, I had to go online and google local dining. The elevators were small and cramped and were not air conditioned. I will probably not return to this hotel in the future or any other Hyatt for that matter.
