Laughing Skull Lounge
Ranked #9 of 133 Nightlife in Atlanta

The comedy club features comedians from all over the world and they are all truly hilarious. It's a small place which really adds to the feel of it. Great night out in the city!! It's a little bit on the expensive side, but I've seen several Groupons lately that make it an amazing deal especially for a date.

Hands down the best comedy club in Atlanta! it is located behind the Vortex and awesome awesome restaurant. Laughing Skulls is not too big and not too small just enough where you can still intimately enjoy and interact with the set performers without being too tight. its casual, its funny, its great!

An evening with nothing to do un Atlanta so we thougjt we'd go to a comedy club. We pucked fhe right one! They had four comics including the Master of Ceremonies and they were Ll absolutely great!
The drink prices were reasonable for thos type of place -- $3 for soft drinks, $5 for beer and wine, $7 for cocktails. They have a two drink minimum, and while we had two, they did not seem to enforce it.
If you want a table you should shell out the extra $4, but the place is so small its intimate from every seat.

...or maybe you've seen a movie with him in it. Chris Tucker!" "Thats how you know you're famous....nobody believes its really you!"

A colleague and I ate at The Vortex and then caught Open Mic night at Laughing Skull. It was hilarious. Whether the comics were on point or totally bombing we had a blast.

Then the above conversation happened. Really! That stuff never happens to me but apparently it is a fairly regular occurence at LSL. The amatuers had five minutes each but Tucker did 35-40 minutes of NEW material and interacted wonderfully with the crowd.

Regardless of whether a celebrity makes an appearance you should go support some local talent - they were GREAT!

NOTE: You MUST buy tickets in advance and have a print out with you showing that you did. They'll also check your name off of a list at the door. The two drink minimum isn't really enforced (not sure how they could) but the drink prices are just fine. As others have said eat before going in. I don't get why people are complaining about that - the venue seats 74 people. It'd be quite cramped (if not obnoxiously loud) if patrons were stuffing their faces during acts.

The venue is tiny but the comedians are great! I would recommend this venue to anyone who is in the area. The only negative about this place is that there is no food menu so eat before you come.
