Horizon Theatre Company

We go to a couple of theatre events each month and have been to several at Horizon. This is a small theatre who puts on a high quality production. Prices are relatively low at about $20. Open seating but all seats are great. We feel like we are sitting in the set as it bleeds right into the audience.

Check out a play here. Worth the trip.

We attended an afternoon performance of this play directed by Tom Jones. The chemistry of the cast was amazing and the story-line riveting. While it lapsed a time or two too long into abstract dramatic elements, the overall presentation was wonderful. The Horizon Theatre is a very intimate setting and that made this performance quite touching. "Every Tongue Confess" had many powerful moments stirring a range of emotions from laughter to sorrow to resolution. There is a profound relevance in the content of this play that made it especially poignant.

This venue is an intimate setting where you feel part of the play. The sound system is superb and the actors and plays are of the highest standard.

What a surprise. This is no neighborhood playhouse. This well endowed theater is first rate and totally professional. They have many wonderful and generous corporate sponsors as well they should. Lisa Adler, the "owner" has done an incredible job of bringing first rate performers onto this clever stage. They make the very best use of every inch and with some fine electrical effects, one senses the the whole space which must convert and does with clever scene changes. The parking is ample with an entire lot given to handicap parking if needed. Refreshments are cat head cookies, coffee, wine . soft drinks and sometimes their own special hard liquor concoction. The seating was comfy and cozy in this intimate theater. All in all it is money well spent.

Just had the pleasure to see "The Book Club" at Horizon Theater tonight. The play was outstanding and the house was full! Wonderful production.
Horizon always brings great performances and performers to Atlanta at a reasonable cost!
The location is great with good parking.
