Description: Be prepared to leave your shoes (optional) and your worries at the door when you dine at Imperial Fez! First things first, ask your hostess you want to remove your shoes, and get ready to relax and eat with your fingers (Silverware available at your table) this traditional Moroccan restaurant encourages you to do as the Moroccans do. As you settle into the benches and soft pillows, your server will explain the customs and traditions that they observe at this unique restaurant. To begin, your server will bring a Tass (a silver hand-washing kit) and gently pour warm water scented with lemon to allow you to wash your hands at the table, and will give you a clean towel to keep on your left shoulder. Your server will explained the menu and the order of the meal, take your order and your journey will truly began as Chef Rafih Benjelloun and his wife Chef Rita Benjelloun work on their culinary magic. At Imperial Fez, the "happy drink" is called The Marrakech. It's a fruity beverage of multiple spirits and juices that will undoubtedly leave you feeling just that - happy. Nightly entertainment starts around 7:30pm. The belly dancers bring energy and life to the quiet restaurant and complete your Moroccan experience! For anyone willing to go beyond the norm, an evening at Imperial Fez can be a full night of pleasure for the mind, the body, and the spirit. "I want them to walk away better than they came in," explains chef Benjelloun.

This was our first visit. The entire family enjoyed the food and Belly Dancers. It is $$$, however, you get an incredible amount of delicious food and the belly dancing show. We saw the dancers 4 times within 2 hours. Our servers were attentive and explained each course thoroughly. We loved it! Another visit to the Imperial Fez is in our future. By the way, this is an awesome restaurant for large parties.

Had a great time with friends at The Imperial Fez. The food was exceptional, the dancing was fun & mesmerizing. I had the cornish hen for my entree, which was so moist it melted in my mouth & fell of the bone - truly wonderful. Great atmosphere & a very fun night out. Highly recommended!

The menu and ordering process was confusing. The bellydancers had been there for 20+ years. We had a Groupon deal for half off and still spent almost $150/couple. The server didn't explain the dishes and it was so dark we couldn't see what we were eating. We were overall VERY disappointed.

Food was fresh and wonderful. Atmosphere was nice. You sit on pillows and small floor level tables. Several course meals are served with a short belly dancing show. I've been twice and both times I have enjoyed the meal and show.

I visited with my family and we used a Groupon. If your entrée costs more than $45, you are responsible for the amount that exceeds $45 (anywhere from $3-$10) . As with all Groupons, they recommend that the tip is calculated from the "PRE" discounted amount. If your service is anything like ours, you will gladly pay the 15%-20%.

We had a 7:00 reservation and arrived just in time to be on time. Thanks to the complimentary valet parking, we walked in at 7:00 on the dot. We were greeted by friendly faces and taken to our seats immediately upon our arrival. It was our first time visiting and we really didn't know what to expect. Our server did a great job of explaining how the dining experience would flow, and explaining the different foods as they were presented.

The lentil soup was really good. The salads were interesting and offered a little something for everyone's specific tastes at the table. We all loved the appetizer, but agreed that the confectioner's sugar didn't quite "agree" with the meat filled pastry. The main courses were all phenomenal. There were 4 people in my party so we each ordered something different and shared. The portions were huge (2 could easily share a meal) so there was plenty for sharing. The lamb was excellent and wasn't "gamey" tasting. The chicken kabobs were cooked and seasoned to perfection and beef kabobs were exceptional. We all LOVED the roasted sweet potatoes. The shrimp dish was also really good. The fruit dessert and hot tea were the perfect finish to a perfect meal.

There were 2 belly dancers. Each came out and performed separately. The first one wasn't very good at all. She was stiff and her moves were choppy. It was pretty easy to ignore her, and it seemed that everyone in the place pretty much did just that. The 2nd dancer was excellent and commanded everyone's attention. The kids seemed to be mesmerized and the crowd was very responsive to the 2nd dancer.

The place is pretty dimly lit and the décor is pretty relevant to it's theme. It is a good choice for a date night, girls night out, or family night. Because it is a pretty intimate environment (everyone sits relatively close) we were able to talk to the people dining around us. Everyone was talking about how good the food was and how big the servings were. The chef came around towards the end of the meal and we were able to give our compliments.

Imperial Fez has not seen the last of us.
