Sandy Springs seems to be a hot location for Iranian-Persians. And there has to be at least a half-dozen Persian restauruants, all on Roswell Road and within a mile or so of each other. All of them are excellent, because primarily of competition!!!! I've been to all but the most expensive-haute culture cuisine place. But there is none better than Persepolis!!! Even their vendors go there for the buffet!! I stood next to the chicken vendor for the restaurant one day at the lunch buffet, and he explained to me the various levels of quality of restaurant-quality chicken, and Persepolis buys only the best.
They also keep a very clean shop. Most Persian folks are big into cleanliness. But it's nice to go into a restaurant, wash your hands with hot soapy water at a clean lavatory, notice that all the utensils are spotless, and the food is fresh, not wilted.
Their chefs know what they're doing as well. All entres (kabobs and stews) are prepared with detail and THEY ARE CONSISTENT!!!! The salads are always fresh, aromatic and loaded with all the niceties that Persians like to add.
Go and enjoy!
