Owner description: Georgia Aquarium is the world's most magical aquarium. Situated near Centennial Olympic Park and World of Coca-Cola in downtown Atlanta,Georgia, Georgia Aquarium offers its guests an experience like no other. Across six separate galleries, with more than 70 amazing habitats, 10 million gallons of water and thousands of species of marine animals, guests will marvel at, learn about and come to better understand such majestic aquatic animals as whale sharks, manta rays, dolphins, beluga whales, sea otters, African penguins and thousands of species of exotic fish and other animals. The spectacular AT&T Dolphin Tales show combines incredible natural animal behaviors with dynamic theatrics, a Broadway-inspired musical score and a compelling story, which together underscore the connection between humans and the animal world. The animated "Deepo's Undersea 3D Wondershow," for all ages, tells an entertaining but important story about conserving and protecting animals and their natural environment. Cafe Aquaria offers delicious sandwiches, salads, pizza, pasta and delectable desserts. Two gift shops give visitors the chance to take home a treasured collectible. Special animal encounter programs offer the chance to go behind the scenes and come face-to-face with dolphins, sea otters and penguins. Guests can even swim or dive with whale sharks and manta rays in the world's largest aquarium habitat (at 6.3 Million gallons), Ocean Voyager built by the Home Depot. And an onsite parking deck immediately adjacent to the aquarium means quick, easy-to-find and affordable parking.

It's an expensive trip ($175 for 5 adults with 2 kids under 3), but a lot of fun!

The penguin exhibit is awesome for kids! There is a way to go underneath the exhibit and pop up in the middle of it where there a two glass dome windows. The penguins come right up to the glass and kids go crazy for this! The whale sharks are very cool to see, not sure that other aquariums have them. The dolphin show was nice, but be sure to get there early to get a good seat.

Was in town visiting a friend from Atlanta. Wanted to do and see something different and gave the aquarium a try! Participated in the Begula & Friends and it was worth every penny! We shared this experience with a lovely trainer, Sam and she and the others made it all worthwhile. We also saw the Dolphin Show, which was a little much for adults with all the story telling and singing, but I am sure would be great for kids.

What a great place for an event! We were in a room with glass wall watching the sea life ceiling to floor! It's a good place to cool off and get out of heat and watch some sealife.

We arrived early Saturday morning (9:15) and I'm glad we did. It was very busy but nothing compared to how busy (and crowded) it was when left (at 1pm). This truly is an amazing aquarium. Loved the whale shark and the dolphin show! My advice: Book in advance for the 11 o'clock dolphin show. We did and it really worked out well. Loved that while we were at the beluga whale exhibit the staff announced it was 10:30 and if you had a ticket for the 11 o'clock dolphin show to make your way there now. I had lost track of time and that really helped. Took my 9 and 12 year old and we had a great time. Staff was very friendly and exhibits were will done. It was just very crowded. Sometimes hard to "find a place" to view the exhibit. Would love to go back again...just might wait for a random weekday when school is in....but bravo, this place is truly amazing. My two kids and I give it 6 thumbs up.
