Beautiful lobby, trendy mrendy and joyful colors were a great welcome break.

We had a rough check in. First they could not find our reservation. It took a while. Then we were given a tiny muiiny room that was freezing! Also the keys did not work so had to go back down now in a rather come on mood! Next-The heat system was not working and overall the room was in a bad shape! These rooms are small anyway and this is no New York!
All got better though. They changed our room ehhh compared to other Indigo hotels rooms are ehhh.
Service at breakfast was fantastic and friendly.

Just got back from Atlanta last week after spending 7 nights at this beautiful hotel. The staff were all amazing, warm, friendly and always happy to help. The view from our room window on a night of the Fox theatre was amazing too. We loved it so much we are already planning to return next year as there hospitality was really second to none. The hotel is also only a short walk to Centennial park, Georgia Aquarium and Coca-Cola world. Well done guys from 2 happy customers :)

The location of this hotel was perfect for my weekend in Atlanta. Situated right across the street from the Fox Theater and near many stores and restaurants, it's great for anyone wanting to have fun in Midtown. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating to all of our needs. The room was very clean and the views were stunning. The bathroom was quaint, but that did not cause a problem at all. The rates were great for the location. Joshua was very helpful in getting us checked in quickly and helping us find places around the hotel. Within walking distance to many places of interest, I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends wanting to stay in the Midtown part of Atlanta.

Room Tip: Corner rooms have fantastic views of the city, especially at night, and are quieter.

The good: Great mid town location within easy walking distance to the closest MARTA station, friendly staff and reasonable rates.

The bad: Worlds smallest hotel bathroom (well, a slight exaggeration, but anyone 6'4" and over would have a significant problem sitting on the john).

We had breakfast two days. The food is good but pricey. Seating can get scarce depending on when you decide to eat.

In summary, a good value if you can tolerate the bathroom.

Room Tip: The rooms on the front of the hotel are slightly larger than those on the backside.

Hello GuardDog61,
We appreciate your recent review and stya at Hotel Indigo Atlanta Midtown. You listed several good reasons guests love our hotel - in addition to the location, the friendly service and excellent value is hard to beat anywhere in the city. The historic building does come with bathrooms that are small, but we did maximize the space allowed by putting in a large shower with a great massaging showerhead to give guests an invigorating and inspiring shower to start the day. We look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel for another enjoyable stay. Warm regards, Gabriele Webster, General Manager

We travel for business... a lot. So, I'm used to staying in all different kinds of hotels. I get what hotel Indigo is trying to do. It's a boutique. Great bones (older building) and cute theme (musicals, etc). But that's where the pluses stop. The hotel/room was clean, but run down. It was shabby, especially in the hallways. The elevator didn't work all the time and another guest actually got stuck inside while I was there. I had to go up and down many flights of stairs while they attempted to get the guest out. The rooms are very small, especially the bathrooms, as many other reviewers have noted. Again, it being an older building, I get that. I just wish there was a way they could make the rooms less noisy. Every time a car went in or out of the hotel's parking garage it made a loud, horrible noise that was very distracting. Loud rooms make sleeping difficult. The staff was accommodating but not overly friendly or welcoming. You pay for parking (the norm in Atlanta) and for just about everything else too, including wi-fi. No free coffee in the lobby, which I think is the least a hotel can do even if they don't offer free breakfast. In fact, the one coffee machine (which you have to pay to use) was broken during our stay. They tried to have a "fitness room" but it wasn't at all what I'm used to. If they don't have the space for something decent, my recommendation would be just to get rid of it. Overall, I was not impressed with our stay here and wouldn't come again unless absolutely necessary. I will say it's a pretty good location though, particularly if visiting the Fox Theatre, just be prepared for the panhandlers... we were approached no less than 5 times in a 15 minute time period.

Had prebooked 2 nights at this hotel and found it to be very friendly with helpful staff. Amanda and Joshua on reception checked us in efficiently and quickly. We were pointed in the right direction for the sghtseeing we had planned.
Akiko and Krysta, our servers in the bar/restaurant. were also very helpful and found the address for the restaurant we had been recommended.
The only 'complaint' we had was the tiny shower room. However all the facilities worked and we were only there to wash and sleep so it didn't spoil our experience.
Location was very good with all attractions within easy reach. Didn't feel that the hotel was overly expensive as Atlanta itself was an expensive city to visit although buying an Atlanta city pass saved us money.
We would stay at this hotel again if ever we visit Atlanta again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the ice machine as it may be a little noisy on times.

First, let me way, I'm not a picky traveler. As a frequent business traveller, I appreciate the quirkiness of this hotel. The concert / theater vibe of the lobby decor made me smile every time. It's a theme carried over to the unique wall treatment in the room. Yes, the bathrooms are laughably small but again, I enjoy that. Still, the shower stall was oversized. The indigo blue phone was sweet. If hotel noise bothers you, ask for a room away from ice machines, vending machines and the elevator. If the weather is good, there is some lovely outdoor seating at the front of the hotel for some excellent people watching.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a floor without an ice machine or vending machine if noise bothers you.
