Stayed here one night after visiting family in Milton and before heading to the airport. Everyone was courteous and friendly. Room was clean and quiet although it felt a little small - king size bed took up most of the space. We were on 3rd floor near courtyard area. Bed was very comfortable and lots of pillows from which to choose. Loved being close to the MARTA and Peachtree area. Walked down Peachtree St where there were lots of restaurants and other shops. Breakfast area was quite large, clean, and well appointed. Food was very good with a variety of choices such as waffles & pancakes, eggs, sausage, cereals, yogurt, fruit, pastries, and beverages. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Atlanta.

Room Tip: Rooms on 2nd or 3rd floor in back near courtyard area are quieter. Nice view of Atlanta buildings.

PLEASANT.... is how I found your words.. as I read... all of your other reviews.

I read all of the other reviews of our reviewers to know if they can be trusted.
And while I always find something unique about everyone...
when I read...your reviews...
there was something so soothing about them.

For instance... your visit to Palm Springs..
at Village Fest....... "people even bring their pets along to enjoy a night out"...
at Indian Canyon...
"an oasis in the desert...loved the waterfalls and the ripples along the stream".

And while I love Max Lager's Brewery across the street from us...
and it is in our top Brewery's in Atlanta...
I found your review of Meehan's Public House...
JUST down the street from our Inn...
a place... I go to...is indeed as you share...like.... "a little bit of Ireland".

Virginia and I ..."sense" that you are at peace with life...
and are able to enjoy... the important things life offers you and your friends.

Thank you for your pleasant words... for our little Inn.

I cannot guarantee that our staff... will always be spot on... with everything...
and..
yes ... it seems that "things in general" in life....are more difficult...
than they... or it.... used to be... or so it seems...to me...
and it can take it's toll... on anyone... including our staff.

I digress ... so back on point...

BUT....our employees are really good people...who want to please...
and so are...
the employees that make up the staffs at every downtown Atlanta hotel...

Please know that... I appreciate your kind words...and about Kimberly...
and that every hotel... loves to get comments like yours about our teams.

This hotel is essentially just across the street and down a block from larger conference hotels in the Peachtree area. The price and breakfast amenities are far superior to the conference center offerings. They provide a FULL breakfast with comfortable, adequate seating - coffee, juice, milk, pancakes, waffles, cereal, scrambled eggs, home fries, sausage, grits etc etc. Internet service was good and free. The registration desk is directly by the front door so that friendly, competent staff greet you promptly AND watch for security issues. There are some street people in the area but security personnel are on staff in the street and in the hotel. I was traveling alone but felt quite safe with the ordinary, common sense precautions. The hotel is in walking distance of the Georgia Aquarium, Coke Museum and other destinations.

WELL... I seems... that my prayer to my personal "higher entity"... was answered.

After receiving... three awful reviews... I prayed for some relief...
and then..... right away... came... the PREVIOUS review..."Love this Place"
and then .....YOURS....
and then..... FIVE others one of which you cannot see as it was a foreign review...
and which....does not appear on your screen here in the USA.

I know..... many people don't believe in a higher entity...
and yes....it could be argued... that perhaps... it was just plain luck.

I don't know which it was... but...regardless...
it just goes to show... that when any of us ... gets "kicked" ... deservedly or not...
that... life has a way... of handing you... a hope... that all is still well.

G

PS... yes...I prefer to believe it was a "higher entity".

This was my first time staying in downtown Atlanta. I changed my hotel location many times before deciding on this one. Upon arrival I was greeted by friendly staff. My room was ready right at 3:00. The first thing I noticed about the room was that it was clean. Everything about the room was perfect. The bed was great, the bathroom was clean and everything worked. I was staying with my significant other so it was good for two people. The breakfast was incredible. I expected some bagels and cereal. There was everything and then some. Overall I would say that the location was nice and safe, I didn't have to worry about my car because they have a parking garage that has a gate to it. I will definitely stay here again whenever I am in Atlanta again.

Room Tip: higher floors have more A/C unit noise

I was praying.... to my personal "higher entity"... to help us... me...
after getting three awful reviews... and then came... you and your review.

OKAY... so one should not have to pray for a good review...
but.... okay... I admit it ... I always do.

YES... IF.... if everything we did and offered... was perfect...every time..
then... there would be no needs for "prayers".

Reality is that... we are not perfect... we do miss at times...
and it makes us feel bad... and we make things right with our guest...
SO...
thanks for highlighting the things you did...
and we .... LOVE YOU BACK.

The hotel had mold in the bathroom, stains on the carpet, and best of all the sheets were dirty. I had to call housekeeping when I was ready to go to bed for them to come and give me new sheets. The housekeeping crew was not available so they sent me their maintenance man to put new sheets on for us. He confessed he doesn't know how to do it, so I helped him make the beds. Not my ideal way of ending an otherwise nice day in the city. The hotel waived the $15 parking fee. But not enough for me Read more

It was dumb of us not to clean properly dumber not to inspect... dumbest to offer $15.

Can you recall.... that moment...that situation...in your life experiences..
where you personally... were broadsided... and you just stood there.

That's how I felt... feel now... as I respond to your findings.
ALL true... correct findings...
and all befuddling to me.. as to how / why...this could possibly be....
and yes... I know... the previous review too shared this cleanliness issue.

Bottom line here is... I don't have an answer...
but I can make things right...so...first obviously.. will chat with staff and fix...
and... second... refund you your stay....
and... apologize for ending your nice day in Atlanta on a bad note.

First off let me say CEDRICK & THE BREAKFAST LADY ROCKS!!!! A++ BREAKFAST!! I had such high expectations for this hotel, only to be let down. I made my reservations at the beginning of the year(Jan/Feb sometime) & wanted my rooms close due to having 2 little ones but when I first arrived they were 6 doors down from each other but we waited for the room next door to be cleaned. I made my reservations at the beginning of the year & wanted my rooms close due to having 2 little ones but when I first arrived they were 6 doors down from each other but we waited for the room next door to be cleaned. Being a inspector for a Best Western so the first thing I do when I step into any room is inspect. Stain on the sheets so I got another set & changed one of the beds. Dust on top of the light fixtures, bed & my pet peeve the AC being dusty. Next is the bathroom, blonde hair in the tub & the floor and yes I have pictures. GREAT LOCATION but after walking all day you just want to get in the tub & soak your feet well good luck I swear the tub was made for a midget maybe you should mention this on the web site.

WOW... you certainly have proved... that you are a LOYAL Best Western fan.

Not only by coming back and back and back to us...(thank you)
but...
by using Best Westerns almost exclusively these past three years.

I read all of your other reviews... saw that you chose 7 others..
that became your regular too...
and was impressed by your... acceptance... and understanding...
that "THINGS" sometimes go wrong...

but MOST impressed by how... humble and forgiving you are/ were ...
as you demonstrated with the Best Western TLC...in Waltham, MA

You have stayed there three times... two times were great...
and the third time was not good...with cleanliness an issue...
and you said...
"once they get housekeeping straight it will be a great place".

I did not notice until...I went back to your home page...
that you have traveled...157,860 miles.... 165 Cities....24 Countries.
and..
then I understood... why and how it is ...you became... a kind person.
