We enjoyed our stay at the Regency Suites while visiting Atlanta for a wedding. This is a great location in Midtown near Piedmont Park, Margaret Mitchell house, numerous restaurants, two-minute walk from Bus/train. The room was quiet and comfortable except for the room doors, which slam shut. Customer service was excellent with helpful and informative staff. Rooms were clean but a little worn, but housekeeping was excellent. Kitchenette sink was very slow, shower was good but the tub was narrow, and no towel racks in the bathroom (odd). Voucher for dinner at Marlowe's Tavern is worth it. Beds are comfy and flat screen TV and free WiFi worked fine. However, don't be fooled by the pictures on the website of the breakfast buffet. It was disappointing for us. There is no waffle cooker, fresh fruit is lacking, and the only protein is a pre-packaged "sausage biscuit" and yogurt. However, if pre-packaged muffins,"toaster pastries", and cold cereal works for you, then knock yourself out. However, Publix supermarket and an excellent beer, wine, and liquor store are a short walk away. Don't expect luxury, but we were comfortable, well-rested, and felt safe. For a best-kept secret, visit the free museum at the Federal Reserve Bank on 10th and Peachtree, very interesting. See hundreds of thousands of dollars pass before your eyes!

We were traveling with 2 young children and arrived close to Midnight. The room the hotel staff gave us was in a bad shape with a broken TV and an out of service phone. When we complained, they gave us another room which was slightly better. The phone's headset was broken in that room too, but we were too tired to change rooms again and decided to stay there.

The male African American receptionist was extremely rude. He did not bother to help with any of our requests for directions, cabs, or even amenities. Fortunately, the other receptionist was very helpful and addressed all our requests.

I wouldn't recommend this Hotel.

Extremely poor customer service, especially night staff at the front desk. Room was dirty including used socks from a previous guest (who knows how long that was there!!) under the chair. Obvious vacuuming is not done. We were greeted our first morning with maids yelling at eachother outside our door. The TV was broken as was our frig. Total disappointment- never again. We moved on and you should too!!!

My wife arrived for a swim meet at Georgia Tech for a five night stay. When we registered we were upgraded to a king suite. The room was very large by most hotel standards. The bed was comfortable and the kitchenette was very convienient. A Publix grocery store was a three minute walk from the hotel. Breakfast was the usual continental style.

The Marta is right behind the hotel. There is also the Tech Trolley outside the Marta station that you can take for free, for travel around the University campus.

By the way, Marlowe's Tavern was a real treat. We took advantage of the coupons provided by the hotel for three evenings. Great menu at a reasonable cos tand the staff was very friendly. We liked one of the dishes so much that we asked for the recipe. They gave us an e-mail and said they would send us the recipe. The next night they recognized us an the chef came to our table and gave us the recipe. We liked the place so much we went back on the Friday evening without a coupon.

We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Stayed here one night on 1/15/11. The staff, front desk and those who helped put our luggage away while we waited for our room were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the mattresses were comfortable for a hotel bed. There were 4 of us in the room and it was enough space for all of us. The room decor is pretty basic, maybe a little dated. The hotel is within a short walking distance of several restaurants and bars. Also the MARTA station is right next door which was very convenient since I took the MARTA from the airport and we rode it downtown as well. Many hotels in the area on this evening were 2 times the price.

Stayed for 5 nights while attending a show. From the arrival to departure, everyone at the hotel was very friendly and helpful and the rooms were very nice.
