The exterior of the hotel lends little to the feeling of warmth and relaxation that reaches out and grabs you the moment you step through the front doors. Maybe it's the complimentary water. Perhaps it's the fact that no one minds if you wander down to the front desk in your bath rob. Or, could it be the friendly chatter of the returning hotel guests around you? In any case, this high end hotel has settled into the role of classic while ignoring the stigmas of rich verses poor. If you walk through their doors, you're there guest no matter who you are. And, they intend to make you feel that way. Sure, the pool is a little outdated. But, even there, it's tough to complain. How many pool areas have only a spitter-spatter of lounge chairs around, encouraging a smaller, family social gathering? Additionally, there is a wonderful big screen that pulls down from the ceiling so that the young guests playing in the pool or the whirlpool can enjoy a family film (in my case, "Sandlot" was playing) while playing. The only thing missing was the popcorn. Oooooops!! There WAS popcorn. And, don't forget the complimentary, Ritz-Carlton, Rubber Ducky you're welcome to take with you. The luxurious towels. The soft sheets. The spa; including an excellent, stone massage by Krissy and a variety of facials by Andrea. The list goes on. And, I must say, the time and money spent here was worth it. Especially if you just want to get away and relax for a little while. A bit pricey if you're pinching pennies. But, for a long weekend or a bit of R&R, I highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor. Elevators are a bit slow. Note: pool/workout on 2nd floor and spa on 9th flo...

We came here for a romantic getaway. Expected sidewalks and boutiques to stroll past, but it's more like an office park with two great malls just a block away. We've adjusted to this because the hotel is wonderful. The staff is charming and everyone bends over backwards to assist us. The large indoor pool is attached to a large deck, so we can enjoy the sunshine between swims. Lots tf fitness equipment, and the restaurant is exquisite. The buffet-style breakfast is sumptuous and generous. This hotel is everything you expect from Ritz Carlton.

This hotel is what you expect from a Ritz Carlton hotel : great service & typical 'classic' interiors. Above average size & quality of the room, but a bit dissapointed by the swimming are which is clearly outdated. Special thanks to the concierge service that helps you out with all questions!

This is a 5 Star property in name only. It's a 4 star at best in terms of overall accommodations, service, and ambience. However, as most Ritz hotels do, it excels at customer service.

Great location for shopping and restaurants. The room was above average, but not unlike many rooms you can find at most major hotel brands in their upper brand hotels and resorts. The room itself was clean, comfortable, efficient, and had no major flaws. The bed made for a very nice nights sleep. It was a bit dated in the bathroom area, and the door fixtures and moulding were from the original building. Minor deficiencies to say the least, but nothing about this hotel wowed me or my partner.

The lobby bar was lively from 5 until we returned to the hotel late in the evening. I have stayed at other Ritz Carlton's and I wanted to say this was a special hotel that was unlike any other that I/we have stayed at, but it was not. Not a knock at all, or a reason not to book this hotel, but it's not the lavish over the top, have to come back, type hotel. It is comfortable, and a step up from most hotels.

Room Tip: Save the valet hassle and self park. $17 vs. $32 and a long wait. Not worth the extra time or mone...

Superb service and overall great stay. Some things were missed in cleaning my room, however.

While the Ritz was an excellent hotel and the staff was extremely helpful, it was a bit dated. If you are looking for comfortable and modern, there are better options in the neighborhood, but if you prefer the traditional Ritz feel, this is an excellent choice.

Should your travels take you to Buckhead, consider staying at the Ritz Carlton. The chain's downtown property is my preferred location in Atlanta, but this hotel is perfectly adequate. The location is good.

The rooms are wonderfully updated and create a welcome environment for a stay away from home. The lobby bar offers a lively scene with great offerings and good service. What I love about the hotel are the food and beverage offerings and the rooms. What I don't love about the hotel is the service at the front desk--long lines (at least 1-2 people in front), and at the valet parking (waits of up to 10 minutes). Regardless, I would stay again.
