My girlfriend and I booked this hotel for a NIN concert. We love Atlanta and especially Midtown and we wanted to book something that would be within walking distance of some good restaurants. This hotel was perfect for it. Things like Cafe Intermezzo, The Flying Biscuit and Taco Mac (just to name a very few) were all about a block away. There was a Caribou Coffee, Vortex and Joe's on Juniper all very, very close, too. Oh and you're really close to Piedmont Park and a Publix as well as Regions and Wells Fargo.
The rooms were very clean and the beds were just right. They were a little firmer than I thought we would like, but it turns out we ended up missing their beds once we got home. The king size was massive. We had a corner room with a city view and I loved every bit of it. We were on a lower floor, so we did more people watching than getting views of the city on a larger scale, but it was still really cool. I don't remember hearing other guests, and there was room directly next to ours.
The shower was clean (standing only) and we never had a problem with the hot water.
The service was very nice all around. We didn't order room service, but any time I called down with a question, they seemed more than happy to help. The valet attendants were really nice and did a great job. They loaded and unloaded very quickly. They pulled the car around very quickly, too. They were never rude and always smiled.
We didn't check out the pool, but it was a heated indoor pool which sounds really nice.
The only con I'd give it would be the fact that it is near the fire station. We thought this would be a big problem, but we found that we only really heard them during the day. Quite a bit. But I don't recall any night during our 3 night stay that it woke us up.
Overall, beyond a shadow of a doubt, we'd stay there again.More
