Smart and chic, perhaps more likely to be in an urban, than a rural location, this bar / restaurant is a very pleasant place to be in.
The service, though, seemed a little strange for a bar, being rather formal; mannered, even.
Some of the food we had was great - the beef cheeks with onions was a real treat, while other dishes seemed to be rather more about the smears and whirls of the presentation than the taste, which I think is always a mistake. I found the prawn risotto with strawberries quite unpleasant, tasting predominantly of evaporated milk.
So - worth a visit, given the right choices from the menu.
