After a horse drawn excursion around the historic streets of Guadix, including a brief stop to explore an authentic cave home, we were drawn to this inexpensive taberna. No menu, but a personal introduction to all that was on offer that day. We opted for a dish of 6 huge prawns and grilled octopus on a bed of sliced potatoes, preceded by a very large salad. The staff were very friendly and attentive (as were the alley cats once the prawns came out), our bread and alioli/tomato dips were refreshed and an additional umbrella supplied to protect us from the sun. We accompanied our meal with soft drinks and ended with coffee and complimentary chupitas. The bill came to a very reasonable 20 euro each.
