“Take plenty of money”
Reviewed 1 July 2013

Cannot knock the quality of the food, Its the price that spoiled our night.
We were given a basket of stale bread that was on the bar when we first went into the restaurant & found that we had been charged 2.10 euros for it.
A very expensive tapas menu when you compare it to all the other tapas bars & restaurants in Almunecar.
Do not be fooled by the good kind gestured host.

“Overprized Spanish food”
Reviewed 5 March 2013

Restaurant La Corrala is a typical Spanish restaurant near the town square. The dining room is traditional and the chairs don´t invite for dining in several hours. The service is excellent, though.

My starter was the mushroom with foie (€ 10) and the main course was the entrecote (€ 15). It was just ok. The entrecote was more than medium grilled, so it was a bit of a struggle to eat parts of it.

The wine list was not impressive. The good news is that they have Abadia Retuerta on the list, which is a price worthy Castilla y Leon wine.

Compared to Arbol Blanco, Los Laureles, Reina Sofia and By Larius Restaurant La Correla is overprized.

“lovely dinner, great service!”
Reviewed 28 February 2013

We had dinner with four. The fish soup as starter was great. Our main course was lamb and beef. Both were delicious, nicely seasoned and tender. La tarta tres chocolates for dessert was the best way to end this wonderful evening. So when you're in Almunecar, La Corrala is a place to remember!

“A gem tucked away in the old city”
Reviewed 30 January 2013

On a small side street off of the town hall square La Corrala is a warm and welcoming place with good food, service and a nice ambiance. Often quiet in winter that takes nothing away from its charm and excellent value. Traditional Spanish dishes are beautifully prepared and very tasty.
