La Parra has become one of our favorites for dining but now we can report on the tapas, too. We stopped in twice, with our neighbors and again with some other friends. Both times were outstanding, with great service, authentic ambiance and excellent tapas. La Parra is a real gem that is worth looking for. We love what they have done with the restoration of a traditional house that abuts the side of the church. You will not be disappointed!

Stunning building, with great friendly staff. Regularly visit with friends and family for drinks and brilliant tapas. Occasionally have business meals here also and never been disappointed.

In this beautifully renovated house a wide range of traditional yet outstandingly prepared tapas is served. The winelist is extensive (and fairly priced) but limited to those traditional wines you can find in a supermarket. I'd suggest to the manager to broad his choice with more boutique-style wines from other bodegas and less known D.O.C.-s. There are still hundreds of fantastic wines to discover in Spain at reasonable prices.... I'll return here for sure!

We ate at La Parra twice on our recent visit to Almunecar and were very pleased both times. It is so nice to find a fine dining (yet affordable) restaurant in the area. Both times we went with other people, so we were able to see and sample more of the menu than we normally would. I had the Burgos leg of lamb one time and it was amazing. Everything from the bread to the desert was a first class. The building is beautifully restored and atmosphere is the best we have ever found in town. It is located in the old town, next to the church and a couple of blocks from the old market, so it requires a short walk from your car. It is worth it and we will be returning often. We were not able to visit the rooftop terrace, as it started to rain, and looking at the other reviews, we will also come back for tapas, too.

I have visited Casa La Parra several times. From my point of view this restaurant is best for a tapas lunch, although they have a good restaurants as well.

The selection of tapas courses on the ground floor is large. For meat and vegetable plates I have not found any better in town.
