Wonderful position set on top of a hill, with great views of the foothills of Sierra Nevada as they flatten out towards the sea. The town of Motril can be clearly seen at the bottom of the hill [all amenities], with the port and beach area a little further away. On first arrival we were blown away by the beautiful garden, large pool and fantastic view. We were also stunned by the extensive outdoor facilities - large kitchen area, huge fridge, huge barbecue, hob and even a pizza oven! We had the pick of 4 dining areas, and lots of sun loungers scattered around which I made full use of , moving from one to the other round the garden depending on the position of the sun. In contrast the indoor area was less well developed, being traditional Spanish with dark, heavy furniture and colours. However this was unimportant as we spent most of our time outside. You need a car to be able to get around, which our girls found limiting as there is only so much time you can spend lounging around a private pool [!], and except for the beach and restaurants there is not much for them to do in the immediate area. Other English tourists were impossible to find, in fact foreign tourists of any nationality. My wife and I really loved the holiday, especially the accommodation, but our girls [aged 19/ 21] got a little bored, despite occasional trips farther afield. The advertised Sat TV was virtually unobtainable and the Internet access was painfully slow, so they could not even generate their own entertainment via Facebook, downloads etc. Emails were also inaccessible for a lot of the time. Many thanks to Elizabeth and Mick who were very friendly and helpful with tips and advice about the villa and surrounding area.
