“Friendly and a great setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 August 2014

We booked for a group of 6 girlfriends. Unfortunately the wind and high waves meant we were not able to sit on the beach without the canvas but that didn't spoil the evening. The staff were so helpful and friendly but didn't intrude. The food was good and the wine was excellent. I agree that this is definitely well worth a visit when in salobrena. The surroundings are picturesque and the parking is easy.

“Great service and Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2014

This by far was my favorite restaurant in Salobrena. My wife and myself spent a week here in June 2014. The staff and the food are great. My wife enjoyed the sea dishes the favorite being the chilli prawns. It is in a great location and judging by the number of locals who use the place it is no wonder it is first class. Will be first on my list when I return.

We ate at this restaurant several times during our stay. Every meal we had was lovely and very good value for money. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and more than willing to look after you. This is definately a place to eat when you are in Salobrena

“Zarzuela & Cod with Parmesan Crust”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2014

La Bahia is situated on Salobrena beach just to the right (facing the sea) of the rocky outcrop ('El Penon'). With views of the sea and the old Castle on the hill, it is a great place to lunch.
We visited Salobena on a Sunday - a day the 'locals' usually take to the beaches in family groups.
As we tend to eat lunch earlier than the locals (12.00 ish to their 2 to 3 ish), we thought we would have no problem choosing a table to eat. In fact we were disappointed not to see any 'Reserved' signs on the many tables inside La Bahia (too windy that day to eat outside). It was only when the waiter shrugged apologetically that we saw that reservations had been made in writing on the paper table cloths... Fortunately, he squeezed us in.
We started with a good Mixed Salad (at 7 euros) to share, followed by 2 'house special' mains of Zarzuela and Cod in a Parmesan Crust (16.50 and 15 euros) - washed down with a Marques de Caceres Rosado (at 10.50 euros).
Overall good value for money for food and drink.
Needless to say that, as we were finishing, the place filled up and the waiters began flying round dropping various salad plates / raciones / fried fish / pulpo (octopus) - and the noise levels began to rise.
Next time we will book early and eat late "with the locals".
There is metered street parking all around the 'El Penon' rock area, and an "all day for 3 euros" field (with covered parking) is behind the restaurant area.
La Bahia has it's own private parking at 10 euros - but this is deductible from from the meal bill.

“Amazing nice people and good food/pessoas muito amáveis e comida muito boa”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 July 2014

We were waited by Jose. The waiters made everything to make us confortable. I have even requested a food not on the menu and the waiter talked to the cook who got it perfect. The food and wine were great and perfect together.

Recomendo.
