“Very friendly / great location”
Reviewed 21 January 2014

This is a very good choice next to the old town of Salobreña. You can walk through the town, visit Alpujarras for a day or go to the beach. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The space in front of the hotel to unload your luggage from the car is very convenient. Definitely not a hostel but a hotel. I recommend it!

Best place we stayed at out of four during an Andalucian trip. Super room with al the facilities one would need, very attentive owners - Spain had suddenly become cold and electric heater was produced without asking. Amazing value for money - will definitely revisit if we return to Salobrena. Sadly it was too cold to take advantage of the vey pleasant rooftop terrace. Good wifi.

Delightful and surprisingly quiet location close to the centre with parking spaces usually within 50 metres of the hotel

Salobrena itself is very pleasant with some good restaurants and an amazing old clifftop town with great views from the top.

Salobreña is a typical Spanish town not at all overrun with tourism which suits us just fine.
The host of Hostel Jayma is called Javier who was very pleasant and spoke to us in Spanish which was what we had asked for. We had a Nice clean room with a comfy bed, flat screen tv, good wifi and a small balcony overlooking the street. There was a good bathroom which was very clean with good towels and good hot water. The hostel has on street parking but it's pretty narrow in places so watch your wing mirrors. There is also a roof terrace where it's nice to have a drink as the sun sets.
There was no breakfast offered, we had not paid for it but we had thought it was an option this was a bit of a disappointment. To be fair though we found a good breakfast café about five minutes walk away where we had a nice breakfast so all was good. This hostel is a pleasant place to stay when visiting Salobreña.

Family owned. Great hospitality, it was the best hostal we stayed this summer during our trip to Andalousia. Salobrena is a small sea front village, notingh special but nice with a sandy beach. The village is only 45 minutes away from Granada and easy to reach using the motorway.

This hotel is in a very good location between the old and the new town. It is spotlessly clean and the rooms we stayed in were a good size with a balcony overlooking the street. The bathrooms were excellent very light and roomy. The roof terrace was lovely to sit out on in the evening for the last of the sunshine. On street parking is available. It had good WiFi connection. The owners were extremely welcoming. Good tapas bars/restaurants in the old town just a short walk from the hotel (uphill but worth it). Room only but breakfast could be found only a minutes walk from the end of the street. The beach was good but we preferred to take a 5 minute drive to the next village, La Guarda, which was quieter and had a good seafood restaurant, Bar Manolo, to have lunch without having to pack up our belongings. We went for 2 nights and stayed for 4. I would recomment this hotel to anybody and will be going again.

We both really needed a relaxing beach holiday. We both love Spain - the real Spain. Salobreña is still authentically Spanish and has lovely beaches. Hostal Jayma with its friendly hosts gave us a lovely, clean, romantic base for the week.

Our first time to Salobrena, and we loved the feel of Hostal Jayma. Lovely welcome and easy to park in the street closeby. The owners were warm and friendly and we were showed to a lovely room. Roof terrace is just great. Heating was fine in room as were the amenities. Nice bathroom, Internet great. Location walking to town very easy and its based at the bottom of the historic area...PERFECT !!

Room Tip: We had room on the road side and had no problem with noise, but it was not a busy place as it was Wi...
