“A Piece of History”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

It's so amazing to stand on this spot and imagine the events that took place there. I was there too late in the day to experience a tour guide, but this spot is amazing nonetheless. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and looks as if it was taken straight out of a painting from the time period. The history alone, makes this worth seeing.

My husband is a true Historian. He was so enthused to be able to see the Bridge where the shot heard round the world started the revolutionary war

“Beautiful and full of history ”
Reviewed 5 July 2014 via mobile

Wonderful site with super helpful guides and living history actors. The house grounds are beautiful with flower gardens and over looking the river. Canoe rentals are near by and lots of picnicking spots. Heard a live reading of the Declaration of Independence and read some great visual history facts.

“North Bridge”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

It was late when we got there and the us was quickly setting, but we could easily see the bridge and the Minute Man statue. It was quiet and peaceful with a beautiful little river flowing below. Standing there was thrilling as I thought about how our lives would be different if that first battle of the Revolution had not taken place.

“A deeply historical site in a lovely setting”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

I especially liked the very knowledgeable man in full costume of the day, standing by the bridge explaining what had happened and answering questions. Without him, however, I would have not understood which direction the British had come from, as I didn't see clear markings. Like many beautiful, peaceful settings which once were the sites of bloodshed, it's hard to believe that this was such a critical part of the action of the first day of hostilities of the Revolutionary War.
