“Excellent Second Visit”
Reviewed 27 March 2013

Stayed there once again while visiting family and it's a wonderful property. The rooms are very comfortable and well maintained. The off season rates are reasonable. You can easily walk to the shops downtown and the breakfasts were very good - bacon and eggs one day, pancakes the next, and an assortment of fruits, muffins, and cereal if you prefer those. Parking can be a bit of a challenge at times because they don't have assigned spaces. But we would definitely stay again. Both times we were in the Dickinson Suite and it is quite roomy and comfortable.

Stayed MLK weekend. Two adults and two teens in the Dickinson Suite. This was our second stay at the North Bridge Inn. We like the spacious, clean, cheery suites. The living area in our suite has comfortable furniture and a table for four. We appreciate having a little efficiency kitchen to fix drinks/snacks in as well. Heidi and Posey (innkeep and her adorable Corgie sidekick) are always welcoming, and offer guests just the right amount of attention. The full-breakfasts served in the bright dining room are a nice way to start the day. This is the only place we would stay in Concord.

Pros: Spacious, comfortable suites. Short walking distance to town/attractions/dining.
Con: Part of the charm of this inn is its relaxing, quiet atmosphere. If you tend to be loud and/or have children who need space to run, this may not be the place for you.

We keep coming back to Northside Inn year after year because we feel completely at home here. Heidi, the owner, and her staff have become friends. They take pride in running an excellent, clean, efficient B&B with a homey atmosphere, and good home-cooked breakfasts. The rooms are spacious and pleasantly furnished. At Christmas time, there's always a plate of cookies on the table as we come in from our day's activities. We know we can count on good service and a first-rate place to stay. And we're not the only ones who keep coming back. Every year, we enjoy seeing several other couples who return like homing birds to this comfortable nest.

If you need to escape to a place to contemplate and create, this is it. Having been on many writing retreats for the past 20 years, I can safely say the North Bridge Inn tops the list of favorite spaces. The comfortable rooms provide tranquil spaces to concentrate without interruption. Nearby places to walk, bike (Battle Road!), and eat get the creative juices flowing. And if you need some inspiration - historical, transcendental, or otherwise - try working in the reference room of the Concord Library, browsing at the Concord Book Shop, or visiting the homes of Emerson, Alcott, and Thoreau. Heidi is an exceptional inn owner who will do all she can to ensure you have a pleasant stay. Petting her sweet dog, Posie, will make you smile.

Room Tip: The Emerson suite is a perfect sunny space for one person.

I hesitate to say anything... but I love this hidden gem in Concord, MA! It is a quiet oasis located in the center of Concord's bustling village. The Inn Keepers are warm and welcoming and the hot breakfast served at your leisure is a delightful start to the day. The rooms are lovely!

Our family members stayed in 4 of the 5 rooms at the inn for 3 nights for a wedding. The rooms are all suites, large, and well maintained and stocked. The Longfellow has a large sitting area with a TV and a small kitchenette (microwave, small fridge, stove). This had the smallest bath of the 4 rooms we had. The Dickinson has a kitchen area but no sitting area; instead it has two bedrooms (one with a single bed). The Hawthorne has a large sitting area but the TV is in the bedroom. The Emerson, on the 3rd floor, is a large room with no separate sitting area but still very attractive and plenty of space. Breakfast each morning was different (pancakes were very good). Heidi and Deborah were very helpful in every way and contributed to a wonderful stay. And the location was perfect--right in the historic district. The rehearsal dinner was at the Colonial Inn, 2 doors away.

My college-aged daughter and I met in Concord for a long weekend and stayed at the Inn. The room was lovely, great kitchenette, and VERY comfortable bed. So nice to be able to enjoy walking across the street to the town square, and explore the nearby historic sites, especially since we have ancestors who made history in the Revolution. The fall leaves were peak. We both felt pampered in staying at the lovely Inn.
