Description: VOLT offers guests a menu of modern American cuisine. The focus of our cuisine is based on classic flavor combinations, creating sophisticated dishes that emphasize purity and seasonal flavors that are based on fundamental and innovative cooking techniques. VOLT's relationship with local artisan farmers ensures availability of products to fulfill the philosophy behind the menu, in a refined, historic venue where classic meets modern. By design, the restaurant follows along the original footprint of the mansions first floor parlors. Both the 38 seat main dining room and the bar/lounge open off the foyer. The original mosaic tile in the foyer was the inspiration behind the warm monochromatic color palette that adorns the finishes in VOLT. Private dining can be hosted in the conservatory offering views of the expansive courtyard. The 700 square foot kitchen afforded space to include up to 20 guests.

The food at Volt is undeniably amazing. We sat at table 21 and enjoyed the 21 small tasting courses. Each course was amazing and I was stuffed when we left. They also have a great wine list.

This isn't for the faint of wallet or appetite, but if you're looking for an over-the-top, once-in-a-lifetime dining experience, this is the place to indulge. All 21 courses were creative, beautiful, and delicious. It's nice to be right there watching the kitchen, it's an intimate enough set-up that you can chat with the line chefs or your neighbors without feeling compelled to do so, and they don't take themselves too seriously, so it's a lot of fun, as well.

The meal my husband and I had at Volt was the most expensive meal we ever ate. Was it worth it? You bet! Every bite was something special. The service is impeccable, the food is outstanding, the atmosphere is very nice. There is nothing lacking in this restaurant. It is an experience you won't soon forget. Treat yourself soon!

I wanted to love this experience, and I had huge expectations. But I found the food really good for a really expensive price. Especially the vegetable tasting menu. It didn't seem like that should be worth the cost we paid. Disappointing.

We had the pleasure of eating at the Table 21-part of the restaurant which serves a set menu of 21 "tastes".

Everything from the "Hashtag"-cocktail to the wine, service, and of course the massive amount of different tastes was simply superb.

We've never even heard about Frederick, MD - but we read about this restaurant and decided to make a trip out of it - from Norway that is...;) We did combine it with other cities though...;)

I truly recommend going here. Frederick is actually a very quaint little city and we would probably have enjoyed spending more than just one night here, but even that was worth it.
