Stayed at this hotel on an all inclusive basis. Hotel very clean and well maintained, rooms are of an adequate size with a large bathroom, rooms with a balcony overlook the pool and have a sea view larger rooms are available but do not have the benefit of a balcony.
We found the food to be good, always plenty of choice, breakfast had cereals, fruit, yoghurt together with eggs bacon sausage tomatoes all the usual and a range of breads and pastries. Fruit juice and tea and coffee were available to serve yourself as were wine and beer at lunch and teatime.Lunch and tea always had a number of choices together with a range of salad dishes, the evening meal always had a hot pudding such as crumble or sponge and custard.
The entertainment was low key but the atmosphere was excellent with everyone joining in,the only problem being the pillars in the room which made it difficult to see.
We had booked the hotel independently and went on a couple of walks around the area organised by the hotel, these were very enjoyable and the guide was most informative.
As has been mentioned the sun beds are arranged in a very tight formation around the pool and that would be my only gripe about this hotel.
Would definitely recommend the hotel and would return.

Room Tip: Larger rooms are at the front of the hotel overlooking the road and do not have a balcony, request a...

We spent two weeks all inclusive here in May. Food was excellent, rooms adequate and clean although beds quite hard. We travelled with Saga and we're well looked after. Due to mobility problems we hired a scooter this was promptly delivered and a real asset. As others have commented some of the other guests were noisy but the holiday on the whole was really good.

Travelled with a friend on a Saga holiday. Food very good if a bit repetitive. Entertainment most evenings was suitable for British and Spanish guests. Staff were very helpful and polite and service in restaurant and bar was very efficient.
Don't go to this Hotel and resort if you are expecting Benidorm. This is a very Spanish town with lots of traditional bars and restaurants. There are lots of lovely walks along the seafront and up the mountains. Rooms overlooking the pool have 2 single beds, balconies and best views. Overlooking the road rooms are much bigger with 2 double beds but no balconies.

Just returned from two very pleasant weeks at this hotel, travelling with Saga. As others have stated, the hotel is roughly 50/50 English guests and Spanish pensioners, who get a holiday subsidised by the government! (yes, really!!! - David Cameron, please take note!), and they can be a bit noisy at times when gathering for trips etc., but, hey, it is their country!! If you don't like the Spanish, then don't go to Spain - simples!!
Anyhow, the hotel - spotlessly clean in all areas, rooms very comfy and adequately equipped, all staff very pleasant and helpful, with the exception of one young man on reception who was distinctly unhelpful to our 'next door neighbour' - an elderly lady who had a problem with her key card. The food was adequate, quite edible and reasonable choice, but not outstanding, nor particularly Spanish. The theme nights were interesting! The animation girls worked tirelessly 7 days a week to provide something to do all day and all evening. As ever, some of it was better than others, and, of course, you can't please everyone all the time. Only real gripe was that there was literally no space between the sunbeds round the pool, and very little shade. A table in between each pair would have made it much nicer, as would the addition of some more parasols. Can't really see why we weren't allowed to take the sunbeds on to the grass, but the waiters soon came round and asked you, very politely, to move them, should you venture off the paved area.
Denia itself is a nice town, with a good variety of shops, about 15 mins walk from the hotel. The big Marina opposite the hotel is lovely, and a very pleasant walk can be had around it, admiring all the beautiful boats.
It's a very pleasant area for a relaxing holiday, far removed from the hustle and bustle etc. of Benidorm, and there were some excellent excursions, in particular to the Maserof which has to be experienced to be believed.

Room Tip: The higher rooms have the views, also the smaller balcony rooms overlook the pool, whereas the large...

Had a wonderful holiday at Port Denia on the 29th April for 2 weeks. Hotel clean and all the staff were great. Food very good atmosphere very friendly, we were 2 ladies and had rooms on the 7th floor with wonderful views of the sea and pool. The hotel was 50% English and Spanish mainly pensioners the second week. The only slight complaint was that the sun beds are packed together and it was hard to find any shade round the pool. Position of the hotel superb for walking to the Marina and into town. Also a good bus service outside.

Room Tip: 7th floor rooms overlooking the sea and pool e.g. room 717 up. Rooms were quiet but at this time of...

Just returned from a walking holiday based at the Port Denia Hotel.
The hotel looked to have been built 30 or so years ago but was nonetheless perfectly adequate.
I had a pleasant room with a balcony and a sea view. The state of the room was immaculate and it and all the public areas were kept spotlessly clean.
The staff were polite, cheerful and attentive.
Most of the guests were English and of mature years but there were a good number of Spaniards.
The only downside was the food. It was clearly aimed at the elderly English.
The best two dishes I had were bread and butter pudding and an apple crumble. One day cottage pie was on offer.
The hotel clearly aims to please it's typical guests and I think it does so but for the seeker of Spanish cuisine and travelers under the age of 60 it is not ideal

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony room.
