Cin Bal was recommended to us by Turkish friends, they said it would be the most relaxing atmosphere for a BBQ and they weren't wrong. They took us on our first visit so we could get the hang of the process but in all honesty it's easy enough. You can sit at a normal table or have a traditional Turkish booth sitting on the low cushions round a table. It starts by going inside to order your starters of which there are many and they're delicious, then you pick the meat you wish to cook at your table. There is always succulent soft Lamb available as we'll already slow cooked for hours.
Your starters are brought to the table and then shortly afterwords a BBQ grill is placed at the end of the table along with veg ready for you to cook your own meat. This is the only down side that someone has to take on the cooking duty, but hey there's a BBQ chef in all of us.
Obviously if taking small children then they have to be well supervised because of the grills, but all in all a very relaxing enjoyable experience and should be topped off with a nice drink and Nargile.

Loved this restaurant. Both quality and volume at great value prices. It was about £25 for two of us for two very large courses and a bottle of wine. The lamb which we had both on the barbecue and slow cooked, was delicious and the choice of salads and meze excellent. We went in May when it was cool, but sat in one of the Kosks (Turkish beds with cushions and low table) and were delighted to find it was heated. We had a long leisurely meal and I was so comfortable I didnt want to leave. A real find and worth venturing to Kayakoy for.

We went to Cin Bal after walking to Kayakoy on the strength of previous reviews and were not disappointed. Absolutely loved the location, out in the countryside and you feel as though you are in a small park. You can either eat at a normal table or go Turkish and sit on the Ottoman tables and cushions along the sides. For the first time visitor it can be slightly confusing but the waiter/manager will take you inside to choose your meat, veggies and meze if you want them and you have the choice of barbecuing your meat and veggies at the end of your table or they will do it for you. We chose the slow cooked lamb and 600g was enough for a hearty lunch for 2. It came up sizzling on foil on a burner and was absolutely to die for. I had a couple of stuffed vine leaves which were absolutely gorgeous (they are never the same in England, sadly), my husband had the beetroot salad which he said is the best he has ever had and we shared a very tasty aubergine salad and had lots of fresh bread to mop up the juices. It was probably a little more expensive than other lunches we have had but worth every penny. Highly recommended and will return.
