“Lovely staff, excellent meal”
Reviewed 22 August 2014 via mobile

We had a lovely meal here. We were made to feel very welcome. My husband had a Turkish lamb dish and it was divine. We will definitely return on our next visit.

“Lovely little restaurant”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

We like a nice traditional, personal type of restaurant, and on the mIn strip through Hisaronu these are nearly none existent. We visited Palm Tree on the last night of our hols, taking our credit card as we had little money left. We were greeted warmly by the staff and chatted with them about our holiday. My partner then advised me that one of the members of staff we had been talking to was the chef as he could see him now cooking our food. I thought it was great that he took the time to come out and speak with the clientele. We ate our food, which was lovely, and after cooking for a party of 8 the chef returned to speak with us and the family next to us. When we went to pay we were surprised to find that they didn't take card payments (or the machine was broken), then as my partner headed off to the bank machine one of the waiters gave him a lift on his mo-ped. Just a lovely, all round service.

“Average at best”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

Perplexed by the over the top reviews on here. Everything about the evening was disappointing. Surroundings - very little effort put in here, basic 'conservatory furniture' under trees that keep shedding leaves while you are eating. I spent the evening looking at an ugly car through a fence. Atmosphere - non-existent. I don't mind Rod Stewart but listening to his albums on loop is a further example of the lack of effort here. Food - I could forgive all the other failings if the food was outstanding but overcooked chicken and undercooked slimy fish was our experience here.
Felt like a wasted night for us and won't be returning. Worst evening we've had in Hisaronu.

“Lovely food”
Reviewed 13 August 2014

Excellent food, with a wide range of dishes. Friendly and conscientious staff that go out of their way to make sure you're happy. Great little kids play area at the rear of the restaurant to keep the little ones entertained until the food arrives. Highly recommend.

“Such a warm welcome back”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

We have stayed in Hisaronu several times and alway visit Yas at Palm tree, both Yas and his wife offer such a warm welcome with a lovely personal touch.
Yas cooks the food and is very proud of his restaurant, the food is always first class.
The only disappointment this year is that they have stopped making the fresh Turkish balloon bread and offer sliced garlic bread instead, a little disappointing, but the food is first glass and definitely worth visiting.
