We spent 2 weeks at the Bellavista, returned home 18th July totally relaxed. There were issues with room allocations and I recommend booking Deluxe Rooms or Suites. Our Suite was clean and consisted of 2 large rooms, balcony, fridge, safe, ice-machine, large modern en-suite, huge Kingsize comfy bed, free independent A/C.
The pool area is fabulous with plenty of sunbeds and brollies. We had B&B which was served around the pool with a large choice of cooked food, cereals, fruit/berries, breads, eggs, veggies, teas & coffees, fruit juices etc etc... the Chef cooked the best omelettes Ive tasted.
The staff were simply superb with Muzzy and Fonzy (well supported by Liz and the boys) really taking care of everybody, and providing the humour. Will miss you guys until our next visit. We can also recommend the Turkish bath & massage etc in the hotels immpresive Spa
If its your first time to Icmeler then your in for a treat. We can also recommend eating out at both the Waterfall Restaurant (fab experience), and also Amigo's Restaurant - both only 2 minutes walk from the hotel. There is no reason to move out of the hotel as the food cooked at lunch and evening is really, really good, and very competitively priced. All drinks prices generally were excellent value at the hotel. There was a good variety of entertainment provided several times a week, including a live local 60's band, belly dancers, russian troupes, tribute acts etc. In short, I well recommend the Bellavista - just hope Muzzy, Fonzy are there next year.............. Steve & Annie

Room Tip: Pay a little extra for the Suites or the Deluxe Pool View Rooms....its well worth it.

Overall we had a lovely stay at this resort but there are a couple of things that need looking at, in our opinion.....
firstly even though we had pre-arranged a delux room with pool view we were told one wasn't available but we could upgrade by paying extra! The delux room (no view) they showed us was VERY small and definitely not what we would expect of a four star so we decided to pay the extra and upgrade to a suite. To be fair this was a clean & spacious room but is actually more like the four star standard we have had on previous holidays. When we went down to the pool the following morning and for the next couple of days it seemed all we heard people talking about was the fact they had been given the wrong room and asked if they wanted an upgrade, at a price, my hubby was convinced the reception was onto a good scam, but perhaps thats just the way his mind works!! at the very least though they really need to organise the booking of pre booked rooms.
Secondly (and not to bore you all!) The food was not too good for those of us who had booked half board. I have never been to a four star hotel where you get no choice at all for your evening meal, basically you are given soup starter every night, main course chicken or pasta and most nights watermelon for pud...no menu, no choice, oh and the added extra of wasps (lots of them) so don't book half board is my strong advice. Breakfast consisted of cheese, salami, cereal and fruit. However the chef was on hand to do omlettes or fried eggs n pancakes, not bad but very basic and again not four star standard.
Saying all that the pool area was probably one of the best we have come across..lovely and clean and soooo relaxing, and as has been mentioned in other reviews the bar staff were very good. The rooms were cleaned regularly and towels changed everyday. (just don't look under the sofa! we did when something rolled under it ...oh boy lol)
The resort itself was lovely and very laid back...we particularly like the chill out bar just off the beach it was just as the name suggests.
Would we come back? ...yes for the pool but definitely wouldn't do half board and would pay extra for the suite.

Room Tip: Get a suite if you can and dont go for a standard as they are in the roof

Me and my boyfriend stayed here last aug for 2 weeks b&b. Upon arrival the reception was very helpful and one of the guys showed us our room and took out cases up. We ha a Tokyo suite which was fantastic, we were facing the pool and the view was lovely as you could see the mountain. Pool area was very relaxing, the staff were so helpful, fonzy was hilarious and always brought our drinks to us, muzzy and liz were lovely too. The milkshakes are to die for. we ate at the bistro med where you get 10% off, the staff their were lovely and helpfull also and the food was great. Perfect location, only a few minutes walk from everything. Overall I could not fault my stay here and would definitely return. And on the plus side it's adults only!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week from the 25th June. First time booking with Thomsons and we were really impressed. Natasha our rep was lovely and always on hand. Our suite was just as expected, clean and tidy with enough space for the two of us. We had a balcony which backed onto some apartments but there was enough trees in the way for privacy. The hotel itself was lovely, and we loved the pool area, although people must have been crawling out in the night to put their towels on the circular sunbeds as we soon learnt going to breakfast at 8am you still didn't stand much of a chance at getting one of those! However when we did they were perfect to lie on whilst dipping your feet in the pool. There is plenty of other sunbeds available, and there is more on the upstairs area. The pool area was perfect, the bar staff were all so lovely, Mozzy, Fonzy and Liz, and the younger boys were all so helpful. Breakfast was lovely, so much on offer and amazing omlettes made by the chef. We had lunch there a couple of times which was reasonably priced. We had dinner there once which was on the Turkish night which actually turned out to be more fun than we imagined, particularly when the female belly dancer dragged all the men up! We did feel a bit pressured to eat there every night by the staff so felt we had to sneak out without them catching us and shouting to us to come join! We spent most our days at the pool as we were very disappointed by the beach due to the lack of sand! The beach is long but narrow and crammed with sunbeds. We did go out in the sea one day on a water buggy which was fun! There were a lot of excursions on offer, and we would have liked to try a few but some meant leaving at 6.30am and not getting back until 7pm, so if we were there for longer we may have been more motivated to do this but we didn't really fancy the early start! The hotel has it's own gym and spa etc and on the second day we were talked into having a turkish bath. We had a sauna and steam room, followed by the turkish bath....nothing like I was expecting, and it took me a few mins to feel comfortable but it was lovely, and that was then followed by a massage. All that cost about £20 each which was quite reasonable! The shops and restaurants are all in perfect location to the hotel. We ate at Rush, Bonjour, The Love Boat (favourite!), Lighthouse...and a couple more which I can't remember the names. Menus were all quite similar apart from the Love Boat, we went there on the last night and wish we had been there earlier in the week. All staff are so friendly, and all meals were very reasonably priced. A few bars we went to include the Sports Inn, next to the Boat House, and the Mersoy's own bar which is opposite the hotel. A shop to recommend is one just down the road from the hotel on the right, where the owner's brother owns the restaurant Rush. He was so friendly, even had Turkish tea with him on our last night and we spent almost an hour with him trying to open these magical boxes he sold. All shops sell the same things but he was so welcoming. Overall a fantastic holiday, special thanks to the Mersoy staff for their hospitality and although we probably wouldn't return to the same area, we would 100% recommend this hotel and location to all.

This is the third time we have been to Turkey and to this hotel. I emailed the hotel and requested the same room as we have had in previous years, and thats what they gave us. The cleanliness of the room was not too good but I spoke to Natasha the Thompsons rep (who is very helpful) and it was sorted immediately and by way of apology we were given a bottle of wine and a basket of fruit.

The staff at the hotel are extremely friendy especially Muzzy and Fonzy who will bend over backwards to help you, and they give you a laugh every day. Breakfast is buffet stlye with everything you can think of to eat, with a chef doing ommelettes, pancakes and fried eggs. The food in the hotel is very very nice and also reasonably priced. The Turkish night is not to be missed. Other places around to eat which I would reccommend would be The Champaign Bar, The Lighthouse and Tin Tins, Tintins is very cheap for drinks and the food is lovely (cheap too) with very friendly staff.

If you want a quiet hotel with no children I would deffinately reccommed this one. There are always sunbeds available, and if you dont want to move from your sunbed Muzzy and fonzy will bring all of your drinks - infact they insist you dont move.

From reading other reviews I cannot believe all of the negatives as we have never had any problems. I would reccommend this Hotel to everyone.

Room Tip: We always pay for a pool view on a high floor.

The room was great overlooking the pool. The staff Fonzy and Mozzy were absolutely brilliant . Natasha from Thompsons was also excellent. The Manager and all the staff on reception could not have been better. The spa and turkish bath treatment was great and so cheap and something not to be missed. Met some great people on our week. Go to see Freddy in the bar on the corner you will have a good laugh cheap beer and not bad food. Another bar the Havana bar is only about 5 minutes away and really good. Will be going back soon. Icmeler is great.

Room Tip: First floor Suite overlooking the pool
