First time we have been to Turkey and the people are so friendly. Our stay was for ten nights 18th - 28th Sept 2011. The hotel is pretty basic but spotlessly clean. It's the people that really make this hotel work, they do everything they can to make sure you enjoy your stay. The lads who run the pool bar and cook the meals really are excellent they go out of there way to make sure your taken care of; as does Rose (Owner/Manageress); she even gave my partner some medicine for her upset stomach and kept enquiring how she was feeling. And no, before you think it, the food at the hotel didn't make my partner ill she was already ill when we landed, put a downer on the whole holiday. We had some really good meals at the pool bar, and I would recommened the fruit plate for a refreshing snack; so fresh.
The only complaint I would have is that they require new beds, I had backache for most of the holiday and the other guests I spoke to said their beds weren't that comfortable either.

We stayed at the Oylum Garden between 20th and 27th September, having read the excellent reviews here on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. The friendliness and helpfulness of Rose and her staff was genuine. Our room ( a suite room) was generously sized, spolessly clean, and had a decent sized balcony - we have had many postage size ones in the past in budget accommodation!

The location is very handy for the beach (5 mins walk) and plenty of restaurants, bars and the dolmus.

Highly recommended is the Turkish night (usually on Saturdays) where £10 gets you a beautifully prepared and tasty 3 course buffet / BBQ, a belly dancer, a Diversity type street dance troup (who really were good!) and chance to join in with the staff and do some dancing yourself, if so inclined.

In summary, a great little hotel with a family atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: We had 302 - sunny balcony and view of the pool & hills behind.

Just came back after a week in Icmeler. What an excellant little hotel but with staff that were polite, friendly and very helpful. This was our first trip to Turkey and with 48 hrs to go the wife had an accident and had her foot placed in plaster. We were adamant we would still go. We advised the travel company who said they would let the hotel know. We arrived at 12:30am and were shown a room in the basement but were told we would be moved to the ground floor later that day. This was duly done. Rose(owner), and all the staff were absolutely brilliant. The hotel is small but absolutely spotless and we have no hesitation in going back there again. The photo at the top of this page is not the Oylum Garden

Room Tip: Try and get first or second floor

Sept 2011 was the time we stayed at this little gem of an oasis. Hotel was very clean and tidy and in a good central location. Rose and her staff couldnt do enough for you even the dog was friendly (tarcan) Dave (DURSUN) was the barman who got to know what your drink was and was ready to serve one before asked for and always walked around the pool area asking if you required anything. Nico the chef cooked some good meals and always seemed happy. The only complaint we had during our stay was the lack of fruit and fruit juice at breakfast, a quick word with rose is all it took. Will definately be going back next year........watch this space.

Room Tip: Rooms under top floor are bigger.

Whilst this is a budget hotel, it is kept in a very clean condition. The rooms are basic, and try to avoid those beginning with 4.. (they have sloping roofs, which intrude into the room). Any negatives are outweighed by the positives, which are a smallish but very clean pool and surrounds, and the charming, friendly and helpfulness of the Manager (Rosie) and her hardworking staff.
I enjoyed myself.

Room Tip: go for a room on the ground / 1st / 2nd - avoid the 3rd
