Stayed here in October 2013 for a week and had a lovely time. As it was nearly the end of the season, the apartments were quite quiet so it was no problem getting a sunbed, in fact, often we were the only people at the pool ! The room had everything we needed and was very clean. The apartments are only one block away from the beach and also handy for lots of shops, restaurants, etc If you walk to the end of the road towards the main road you can pick up a dolmus to take you into Marmaris. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again

we stayed here for 3 nights in august as a family of 4.
hotel is in a perfect location, just behind the marti, a stones throw from the beach and all amenities.
pool area was nicely furnished and spacious.
rooms were nicely furnished.
i was a bit disappointed as we were given a top floor apartment, even though we had requested a low floor as our baby was 18 months old, there is no lift.
we did ask to move rooms but were told the hotel was full.
i could not relax in the room because i was scared of our baby going to the balcony, in which he did get his head stuck one day and also the window in the living area when opened just had a bar across, and he could have easily climbed on the sofa and out of the window.
i would recommend these apartments to couples or families with older children.

Firstly may I just say that the review of Tonim17 of 12 Oct 2013 is only a view of one young couple who came and went within 24 hours and judging by their attitude wouldn't have been happy in the Dorchester. By the way does anyone know where you can buy a silent fridge. My family arrived in the early hours of 5th October after a long and tiring journey were met by a man called Bouland who was extremely helpful given the hour and couldn't be more polite. We were booked in quickly and helped to our apartment with cases etc. In the morning we could see in daylight just how lovely this apartment block was and again experienced how friendly the staff were. We met the owner, not manager off the complex who was lovely, spoke very good English and again welcomed us to her appartments. This complex is a small, extremely friendly, welcoming and family run business. The cleaner is the wife of Bouland who was a lovely woman. She came in and cleaned every day, our towels were changed at least every other day and bedding twice per week. The rooms were spotlessly clean when we arrived and up until the day we departed. Absolutely no complaints there. Ok, so the shops local to the complex don't stock very much but it was very close to the end of the season when shops etc are winding down, but this was in no way the responsibility of the Sun Blue so no accountability there. A little walk into the town where shops do stock more variety would alleviate this problem. All in all my family and myself enjoyed a fantastic holiday in Icmeler made even more enjoyable by this fantastic holiday complex run by some of the nicest people you'll meet. I would highly recommend a holiday here for families or couples of any age. It's short distance to the beach and bars/restaurants make it even more attractive. So a great big thank you to the staff at Sun Blue and hope to see you again very soon.

Room Tip: No complaints from any other guests about there accommodation whilst we were there, (apart from Toni...

Stayed here for 16 nights,we requested a low floor apartment and was given apt 16,nice and modern overlooking the pool with a balcony and another one facing the front of the apartments.Rooms were cleaned to a very high standard by 2 lovely cleaning ladies.Towels were changed every 2 days and sheets twice a week,no cleaning on a Sunday as its their day off.The pool is lovely and no problems getting sunbeds.Would have liked the hot water to be switched on earlier than 6pm at night though, just felt that this was too late for us.We found all the staff to be very friendly.Only 2 minutes walk to the beach and the canal where the restaurants and shops are.I wouldnt recommend using the shop next to them, although their prices are barcoded and it states this on a sign outside the shop,he did overcharge a number of times and didnt put the items through the till.Try to use the larger supermarkets, less than half he charges.

Room Tip: room 16 is low floor and overlooking the pool with 2 balconies.

We arrived on saturday afternoon and were shown to room 19 above the bar, lovely apartment but we found after two days we could not stay in there as the noise of the bar and the pool table kept us awake until 5 each morning. I asked if we could move on the monday and she said there wasnt a problem with the bar as she shut it at 2.30 each morning, but obviously people were coming back late and palying pool until all hours. We were moved to room 23 which was on the ground floor, again a lovely apartment. We had to go down to see the owners at least 3 times as the water was cold in the evenings, there was no explanantion of this but we were then told my other people that the water was run by immersion heater and that the hot water was only available for a couple of hours in the morning and then from 6 - 9 in the evening, which didnt please us as when we came in from a trip we had to wait until after 6 until we could have a shower. We had clean towels put in our room on wednesday and by saturday morning and after leaving our towels on the floor we thought we would wait another day before asking for one. We went to ask on sunday to be told that the cleaners dont work on a sunday and we would have to wait until monday but as we were leaving on tuesday we were told we wouldnt be getting a room clean on monday as we were leaving on tuesday, therefore the room wasnt cleaned from Saturday right through to tuesday the day we left. We asked if at least we could have clean towels, the cleaner had to go and ask the owner if we could have clean towels, after half an hour she agreed we could have towels. The shower was over flowing all the time and we took it that so many people were having a shower at the same time in the allocated time, the water was backing up into the showers.
I couldnt fault the apartments at all they were the best we had stayed in but we found that the staff were not very hepful at all. We paid alot of money to stay in these apartments and at least expected hot water and clean towels which wasnt the case. I would stay there again if these issues were resolved but wouldnt pay the price we paid as they werent worth the cost

This was the 3rd time we stayed at sunblue, and never fails to satisfy, it's in a great location, close to everything, all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful as are all the local people, the apartments are basic but perfect for what you need, the pool is a nice size and never overcrowded. Can't wait to go again.

On arrival someone from the hotel helped wheel our bags into reception and we checked in. There were 3 staff members there, one lady and 2 men. From what I have been told by someone I know who stayed there, the lady was the manager.
One of the men helped us to our room, round the back of the hotel and up a large flight of stairs. Getting into the room (number 29), we were greeted by what can only be described as a room you would see on 'Holidays from hell'. The place stunk of sewage and it didnt look any better. The bathroom was more of a wet room that looked like it was made for someone in a wheelchair to wheel into, the shower was dirty with scum all around the base of it and the floor along with stains that looked like noone had ever tried to remove them and there was no loo roll, which considering we had just arrived we thought there would be at least one until we could go to the shop.
Handles on cupboards were broken, there were chunks of wood missing from bedroom furniture and the whole place was dark and dingy and the lights were flicking on and off.

As you can imagine we were not happy to stay there so went to reception to complain and ask to be moved. We told them all of the problems that it was dirty and stunk etc and we were told 'it is clean, it was only cleaned 10 days ago'! We had paid to stay here and paid for a clean room, not one that was cleaned ten days ago! The lady said she would send someone up who came and said its fine its clean and left. My partner went back down and said no this is not good enough we want to be moved now! First he was told this is the only room we have but after 15 minutes of telling them we wanted to be moved they gave my partner another key and showed him to the room (room 16) He came back to get me and our bags (noone came to help, even though the first room was up a load of stairs and our bags were heavy and it was dark!) Getting into this room it at least smelt clean, we out our stuff down grabbed money to go to the local supermarket on site. Getting to this shop we looked around for food to make dinner, we had been told we would be able to buy food when we got there however upon further looking around we realised that there was nothing edible, what we did pick up was out of date! We picked up a box of cereal some water and what we were told was milk. We also picked up a carton of orange juice but there was mould on the top so we left it.  We got back to the room and realised it was not milk or if it was it was gone off because the smell was horrible. We had dry cereal for our dinner at 12.30am! After looking around the room some more we could see that this room was actually dangerous, there was a light hanging from the ceiling which was only hanging on by the wires-this could have fallen at anytime, not only that the wires were exposed! The shaver socket in the bathroom was hanging off the wall again with exposed wires! There was a broken light in the bedroom-this was the glass that was broken, again dangerous! The toilet was leaking a bit also.We wanted showers before bed but firstly there was hair around the edge and after leaving the shower running for five minutes or more it became apparent there was no hot water. By this point we had had enough so phoned the emergency number we had been supplied with on our paperwork but it was out of hours! How can an emergency number be out of office?!
We wanted sleep and had been told there were no other rooms we decided to try and get sleep. This was difficult as the noise from the fridge kept us up all night resulting in no sleep. Even with the door shut you could hear it! By 7am local time we knew we had to phone the emergency number again to try and get somewhere because this did not feel like a holiday and we just wanted to be at home! The emergency number was not open until 8.30am english time so we got dressed, by this time we had hot water. When I got out of the shower the water had risen so high that it started to leak over the floor-the plug was obviously blocked! (This was not the case again when we showered later at around 5pm) The floor of the whole place was disgusting, we got out of the shower and our feet were black straigt away from walking from bathroom to the bedroom. We had to put credit on our phone to be able to call and after 5 minutes on hold to them our credit ran out! I then had to turn my data back on to phone our holiday supllier direct as we did not know what else to do, in total keeping my data on while we got this sorted cost me over £20!
I got through and after telling them everything that had happened,  first they were shocked so wrote everything down and asked if we wanted to move hotels and that she could speak to the hotel supplier to sort a new hotel, this would have been ok however the impression we were given is that due to ours being so cheap we would be put in a budget hotel and nothing could be guaranteed that it wouldn't be the same again. We asked when the next available flight home was and once they found out let us know that to transfer flights it would cost us £464! We had no choice but to pay this. After many phonecalls back and forth we found out that the transfer had also been sorted and we were told we would be picked up at 7.30pm local time.  Our flight was booked for 23.30 11th October, just over 24 hours after we had arrived.

We tried to make the most of the few hours we had in Turkey, and went for a walk along the beach and took in the beautiful sites and eating out at places with edible food. After getting back to our room after a while out we noticed the patio door at the front of the apartment was open (this was broken and we had forced it shut before leaving)- this was closed when we left and could only have been left this way by the cleaner. Our valuable items were in the room and anyone could have got it.
When we checked out at 7.15pm I handed the keys to the lady in reception and she said ' are you leaving' I said 'yes we are going home' to which she replied 'ok'! She was not shocked by this and did not once ask why and what she could do. This disgusts me that someone can not even be bothered to ask why, although since we complained she had ignored us.
Our holiday has been ruined as we are now home after only 1 day in Turkey which was ruined anyway due to sorting out geting home! This hotel may be great to some people hu spend loads and go in the peak season but for us getting a late break in the year, a holiday we had looked forward to all yr it seems they do not care about their guests at the end of the season.
